Exactly what it says on the tin. I has a curious:

What's the easiest, lowest-level way to get fast healing of any sort?

Now, as the answer to the former question was probably some spell or other: what's the easiest, lowest-level way to get fast healing permanently?

Troll-Blooded gets Regeneration 1 (vulnerable to acid and fire). It's a feat from Dragon Magazine #319.

[Edit]: Also, lists of stuff (http://community.wizards.com/go/thread/view/75882/19871954/Lists_of_Stuff) is your friend.

The spell Lesser Vigor (Spell Compendium) is a first level spell that gives you fast healing 1.

Subject to DM approval of course, this can be used to make an item to give you fast healing 1 for ever and ever for pretty cheap.

A Dread Necromancer with Tomb Tainted Soul can self heal all day at level 1, which is similar at least. Once he gets some Black Sand to work with, he can effectively have Fast Healing 1d6.

Depending on DM ruling, you can also do Divine Metamagic(Persistent Spell) Lesser Vigor to get Fast Healing 1 all day - potentially at level 1 (with domain choices and/or flaws). If Touch spells don't qualify as "fixed or personal" range (required for Persistent spell), then Divine Metamagic(Persistent Spell) Mass Lesser Vigor does the same thing at 5th level (3rd level spell) - no levels lost, just, you know, lots of feats.

Dragon Shaman 1 (PHBII), take the Vigor aura. Fast Healing 1 for all allies within 30', up to 50% of their HPs.

Unfortunately, Dragon Shaman kinda goes downhill from there...

But you may be able to pick up the Vigor aura with the Draconic Aura feat in Dragon Magic (p. 16, requires character level 3rd). Although the feat itself only references the auras on page 86, ask your DM if you can use it to pick up draconic auras in other books, such as PHBII.

Warshaper gets fast healing as a supernatural abiility (i think fast healing 5), and I know their is a graft that gives you fast healing (silithar blood graft in fiend folio, expensive as all get out and is fast healing 3, but permanent and extraordinary)

Feral template, for LA +1
Dark template, for LA +2

1 level dip into Dragon Shaman

OR

1 level dip into Dragonfire Adept (in order to get Dragonblood subtype) + Draconic Aura

NB: some DMs may say that the DFA can't choose that particular aura (e.g. whether there is one list for draconic auras or multiple lists with a lot of overlap but certain things only appearing on one list (e.g. Fast Healing)). If you can choose it, the advantage is that the Fast Healing will be based off of character level, not class level.

A dip into DFA can work well with either cleric or wizard.

If you want it as a quality of your race, the Half-vampire template (LA +2) gives fast healing 1, up to half your total, and as others have mentioned, there are several other templates that do it as well (Feral, Shadow/Dark, Half-Troll, etc).

Dark is LA +1 and doesn't give Fast Healing. Shadow is LA +2 and does.
