Trying to track down an old Icelandic poem

It's called Sótt og dauði íslenskunnar and was written by Eggert Olafsson.

I'm not having much luck finding it anywhere online, so I was hoping any Icelandic Playgrounders or Playgrounders with knowledge of Icelandic literature could point me in the direction of a complete poem.

Well, no such luck here, but this (http://www.hi.is/en/introduction) is the homepage of the Háskóli Íslands university, which I know for a fact to have quite a lot of sources at their disposal. Try tracking down some contact there, perhaps? E-Mail is usually free, after all. :smallconfused:

I doubt it can be found online but you can find it in the book "Upplýsingaröldin - úrval úr bókmenntum 18. aldar" so if you e-mail the university library with the name of the book I'm sure they can find the poem for you.
