I recall there being a feat somewhere that boosted your effective Ranger level for determining your Animal Companions abilities. Any clues as to what this might have been, or am I going crazy?

Natural Bond. (+3 to your effective druid level.)

Helps early on, but your ranger companion will ultimately still suck.
