Hello, someone I know is looking to run the system but is having some trouble understanding a few aspects of it (like when you play as a kid). Anyone knows of some good introductory modules (or the WoD equivalent)? Also, if people could explain conceptually what is it supposed to be about (as i.e. Vampire is about personal horror and all that) or whatever other info they could think of to better understand and explain it would be helpful.

He doesnt read english, so Im asking on his behalf :D

Changeling: the Lost is, at its core, about trauma. You play as an ordinary person who had a harrowing experience, escaped, and then discovered that they can't go back to their old life. Add folklore, magic, and a dash of whimsical fairy-tale logic, and you've got Changeling. The game is about trying to get by and make a new life while struggling with the physical, psychological and spiritual scars that the Fae left them with.

Of course, that's is a generalization; a specific Changeling game might be about a Darkling private detective and his Ogre buddy tracking down a vampire kidnapper. But the game is written for that style of play, and it underlies most if not all Changeling games.

(Note: this only applies to Changeling: the Lost. Changeling: the Dreaming is quite different.)

You don't get to play kids in Lost. Well, you could, but there's no mechanical support for it.

Dreaming was the one where you could play a five-year-old and be awesome at magic ebcause of it.

Yeah. Changeling is about learning to adapt to the scars you've received, and of straddling the line between trying to adapt to normal life and embracing this new world you've been dumped into. Many Changelings desperately want to go back, to get their old life back, but the truth is, they can never really go back, and they'll have to deal with that.

There's a really extensive section on the psychology of a changeling, in the core book. It's...astounding, to say the least.
