So I just got started with pathfinder. very "just started" as in I looked at the pathfinders core rule book for the first time only days ago. I had a couple of questions.

1. does anyone know of any good resources for reading about pathfinder for someone who already knows 3.5? 2. Does pathfinder have an srd or the like? 3.does pathfinder have psionics (official or third party)?

thanks in advance

Pathfinder has a full SRD here (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/home), Most of the entries also have a fair amount of fluff to help with encounter, adventure, and world building, you can also access the recent ninja, samurai, and gunslinger classes here (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/extras/playtests/paizo---ultimate-combat/), though they have only posted the playtest ones on the SRD so far

Saph wrote a guide on this very topic on these boards. I can't get you the link but it's on the Notable Threads page

Pathfinder has "semi-official" 3rd party psionics written by Dreamscarred Press: Psionics Unleashed (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/psionics-unleashed).

They toyed with making 1st party psionics, then the psionics lovers heard what their designers thought would be good ideas for psionics. The backslash was epic.

Guide (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=136890) for 3.5 to PF conversion

Same guide but for Psionics (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=182797) (Unfinished but has power to power analysis)

So, Dreamscarred is pretty high quality stuff then? ok, cool. might have to pick up that book if I can find it. any insight onto what those 1st party "good ideas" were and why they caused so much hate?

Psionics = Vancian and IIRC that was one of the least offending reasons.

So, Dreamscarred is pretty high quality stuff then?General consensus is that they're better than most 1st party designers. Look at PF Soulknife. Now at 3.5 Soulknife. Now back at PF Soulknife. Your Soulknife is now diamonds.

I'm on a dinosaur.
