The shudder of the engines and slow creaking exhalation of the adamantine hull blends into the background of Adeptus Ministorum approved choir music. The heavy organ filled deep gothic choral tones played 26 hours a day on the Sin of Pride at the Lord Inquisitor's orders.
On the holoscreen, and for those lucky enough to work near a window the tiny rust red Shrine World of Piety of Seth slowly fades away into the blackness as the main engines inexorably pushed the 4km of the Sin of Pride towards the edge of the local solar system.

The ship, a titanic behemoth dating back over 4 millennium and a veteran of the original Angevin Crusade throbs beneath your feet. The rattle of bulkheads, crackle and ozone discharges from the archaic plasma engines and glittering lights on the bridge displays as familiar to you as your homes and families. For most of the many thousands of ratings it was both - their families having served on the ship for generations since its reforging amongst the Lathe worlds some 268 years ago. As the auger readings from the gravitational and immaterial sensorium display slowly move from red to green the bridge crew- all officers with naval careers stretching back many generations - move silently amongst the myriad panels and consoles readying to activate the bizarre and mysterious warp drive and equally important Geller field when the command key is slipped into its proper place in the command chair. The ship's command key shaped into the Inquisitorial signal is clutched in Lord Theocles grasp. A rare appearance on the bridge from the Lord Inquiistor. He is an imposing man- standing some 7ft tall with a bald head covered in thick scars, the back half of his shrouded by mysterious devices attached to his skull and shrouded by the voluminous robes. Hiw robes shroud most of his heavy bulk from view. made from the finest red cloths in the sector and sincribed with hundreds of verses of the Imperial Creed in elegantly stitched gold and adamantine thread. The skull of his father, The Lord Octovian Theocles, hangs from his neck emblazoned with the symbol of the inquistion and, some say, packed with sophisticated machinery from the Dark Age of technology that will protect the paranoid old man from harm.

Lord Theocles looks down at you all from the the grand pulpit in the heart of the almost cathedral like bridge. A raised edifice that stands 15ft above the rest of the bridge, its metallic sides studded with control circuitry and holy reliquary seeking the blessing of the God Emperor and St.Drusus. The simple chair unusually unadorned was the one that St. Drusus himself blessed. Now only the Lord Inquisitor and the Lord Captain of the ship may sit there. "Ready the warp engines Lord Captain" intones the old man in hushed scratchy tones. "Set a course for Morwen VI, I will be in my chambers. Please do not disturb me." As he speaks he thrusts the baton into a small slot within the pulpit activating the ships interplanetary systems. Consoles flash, lights and cognicators whir and hiss and a palpable smell of ozone oozes from the ancient and misunderstood systems.
Stepping down from the pulpit 3 strange semi-organic cherubium floating in his wake bearing the weight of his robes the bridge crew all straighten to attention saluting their Lord and Master. He turns once more as the blast doors slide open revealing a long arched colonnade, victory banner and ancient statues to the saints of the Imperium dwarfing the guards clad in their black carapace armour clutching shotguns. "Lord Captain, I expect you and the senior command to be guests at my table tonight." He pauses a moment, grey-blue eyes sweeping the bridge, "away from the ears of the heretic and the traitor we can discuss our new course of action"...

With that he strides from the bridge leaving Commander Anarette Korvin "The Lady Theocles" in charge of the passage and a mysterious instruction to begin the journey from the Shrine World of Piety of Seth to the small dead world of Morwen VI. For what reasons the course has been chosen is unknown to any bar the Inquisitor, and likley the reason why is the tomes he had been poring over in the massive vaulted cathedrals of the Shrine World.

Deep in the bowels of the ship, enclosed in the hidden and shrouded blck lightless pod lies the navigator's quarters. Silence unfolds as the orders trickle through the ship and the navigators prepare to open their 3rd eye and view the horrifying alternate reality of the Immaterium
