I'm playing an Eberron artificer for the first time (Half-Elf of House Lyrandar), and while I get infusions and the like, I'm a touch confused on it all. As a group, we've never really used the crafting magic items rules, and I want to make sure I'll be doing everything right.

Right now, we're level 4, and I've made some scrolls and potions, but I'm still just really confused as to how the whole process works. Any help and/or advice is greatly appreciated.

I'm a bit foggy on the specifics but I knew an artificer that had a Dedicated Wright whom he stuck in a bag of holding. The wright would craft his stuff and when the item was done a small bell would ring and his item would pop out... As a DM I required the time and cost component but forgave the xp cost as long as he didn't cheeze the crafting. Sorry that didn't answer your question I guess.

Most DM's will require the full length of time to create an item even if the Wright is doing the crafting for you.

This (http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/Artificer_Player%27s_Guide_%283.5e_Optimized_Chara cter_Build%29) and this (http://dmreference.com/SRD/Equipment/Magic_Items/Basics_Creation/Creating_Magic_Items.htm) may help also.
