Higher level medium wildshape forms?

My DM has, as a houserule, reversed the order at which Druids get tiny and large wildshape forms. (He also removed natural spell.)

I have no issues with this. My bigger issue is the Druid Handbook starts listing only large animal forms starting at level 8. Are you aware of any very useful combat wildshape forms (not spellcasting platforms, since I won't have natural spell) that are medium sized beyond 7 HD?

I'd take a look at the Legendary Animals (MMII I believe, but definitely Masters of the Wild). They've generally got better stats than their normal counterparts while retaining the same size.
