Creating a Clone

For any of you who know the backstory regarding Tenser --- you should also know that Tenser created several clones of himself...

Clones as used in this case are (or how I have interpreted it to be) : Basically a blank slate which gets occupied by Tenser's consciousness when his body that is currently inhabited by his consciousness dies

Does anyone know if there is any detailed explanation anywhere on how to create a "clone" ?

Heh, don't worry when I first started making a response I was about to claim it was a 2nd edition spell that wasn't converted to 3rd edition then I had second thoughts and actually took a look at the SRD. So I feel pretty dumb about it too.
