Hello playground.
I'm a DnD player and DM and in the games I run I've found that maps are a big, big part of my DMing style. When I brainstorm for plot and possible adventures, or when I picture in my mind the current situation in the campaign, I find I almost always start by thinking about the world map that is in my mind. Even when I play, I usually want to have a good sense of the geography around me.
I tend to think about maps in many other gaming situations - every single fight, but also many cities and countryside areas.
Sadly, I'm very bad at drawing, so the few maps I've sketched out aren't really satisfying - but I'd really like to learn drawing some properly, sooner or later.
What is your relationship with maps? How do you draw them? Do you have any useful suggestions?
