Lets say that a mummy gets himself spellstitched. One of the spells given to him (Resist Energy) gives himself Fire Resistance 20. Now would his Vulnerability to fire kick in before or after his resistance?

The creature would apply effects to itself in the most beneficial order, according to the FAQ. So he could negate 20 points of [Fire], and any remaining damage would then be multiplied by 1.5x.
