Hi :)

I'm probably overcomplicating this, but I just wanted to check and be sure. I've finally been coaxed into joining my first Pathfinder game, and I'm creating a character at 9th level to join the party in progress. I've decided on 7 Urban Ranger/2 Master Spy. Master Spy has "Art of Deception" which reads:

"Art of Deception (Ex): A master spy adds her class level to all Bluff, Disguise, and Sense Motive checks."

So my question is, do I add my entire class level of 9 for this, or just 2 for the two levels in Master Spy?

Preemptive thanks to anyone who takes the time to read and respond. :)

No, your "Class level" refers to the level of the class that granted that ability, not your overall "Character level" which is the sum of all your "Class levels". You would be adding 2 since you have 2 levels in the Master Spy class.

Thanks, Wildpyre. I'm amazing at confusing myself through terminology!

Always happy to help ;) Feel free to ask any other questions you have.

Oh and let me know how you like the Master Spy class, I've been looking for a good PRC for a rogue character of mine.
