need a quick answer about possesion

in a game i DM there might be an incidence where i'll need to know the answer to the following: is a creature who is immune to enchantment spells and effects also immune to possession by fiends? (such as described in Eberron? are there other possession rules?) the game is in a few hours, so any help would be great. thanks

It seems not. The rules in the Eberron Campaign Setting only call out Protection from Evil-type effects; it's worth nothing that Protection lists possession separately from charm and compulsion effects.

Even as a spell, possession needn't be a mind-affecting effect. Magic Jar, as also referenced in Protection, is necromancy.

I think protection from evil would prevent it, but I can't remember, and the book isn't handy.
