[PF] Diminished spellcasting on a Magus

I am not sure what this is meant to balance in all of the new magus archetypes in Ultimate Combat, and was wondering what a houserule (if I DM), or how strong an argument to just nix it (if someone else DMs) could be. Are the things a magus gains from those archetypes worth the lost spells?

Short answer: no.

Long answer: nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

Seriously, a Magus already has a small amount of spells/day at lower levels, and these archetypes don't give early accessto Spell Recall, don't think that would be a worthy trade, but at least it would be a reasonable one.

The magus and wizard archetypes in UC are nowhere near worth the tradeoffs. I was very disappointed with that.
