I am running my group through the module "The Last Breaths of Ashenport" (modified slightly) and at the end of the adventure the town is empty.

I know my party, and they will loot everything in the town.
Which I don't mind, because last adventure they lost almost everything.

But, what I can't figure out is what the various shop, inns and even houses have in them.

I don't want to say "there is 16,000gp worth of mundane equipment in town".

Are there any lists, articles, charts, etc on what is in a shop?
Anything I can start from would be helpful.

You can use this generator

http://donjon.bin.sh/d20/treasure/

It will get you various items when you use the 'Trade % of coins for miscellaneous salvage'

If that is what you are meaning, if not sorry.

From the PF GMG you can use the settlement size guide to randomly roll the gear that will be there. Actually considering that the city is a metropolis that might be a bad idea considering that means all minor items are there... Eh, just extrapolate it out to 5d4 minor items, 4d4 moderate, and 3d4 major.

I'll just leave this here. (http://inkwellideas.com/roleplaying_tools/magic_item_shop/)

I dunno, I just used it and got a Ballista on my first use. It very well could have carts and such (not so much on live animals tho).

So, when we find a longship in the Blue Dragon's hoard, in the middle of the desert…
