Quick Question:

I heard that one of the guys who helped create Tome of Magic releases an unofficial fix for Shadowcasters, one that is supposed to deal with most of teh major problems. Anybody know where I could find it?

The original copy seems to have been devoured in forum reorganizing, but it's been quoted in this Shadow Magic handbook (http://community.wizards.com/go/thread/view/75882/19870562/A_Guide_to_Shadow_Magic).

Good stuff there. I always liked the Shadowcaster, and felt it was the closest thing to a good class that came out of Tome of Magic. Personally, I'd keep the in-order learning of mysteries, because I feel it represents learning the underlying magical theory as opposed to the mix-'n'-match wizard approach.

Hunh. That's the first time I've heard any complaints about the Binder, even if it's indirect.

Not a complaint, really, just not a class I found all that interesting or flavorful. Then again, I like playing fighters. :smalltongue:

I believe you were looking for this (http://www.enworld.org/forum/general-rpg-discussion/184955-shadowcaster-fixes-mouseferatu.html)

Mouseferatu's fix is decent, but overall I don't find it the best. I love Shadowcasters as an alternative caster and I'd suggest using this: Book of Shadows (http://forum.faxcelestis.net/viewforum.php?f=21)

It is aimed at PF, but should work in a 3.5 game just fine.
