The blade looks like a large steak knife, but the blade is a couple feet long.

He should now be able to detect any magical effects, or the residue of those that are no longer active.

Ari looks forlorn and slightly confused again. She looks like she's about to reach out for him but puts her hand down. Thank you. I love you too. She says, almost quiet enough that it sounds like nothing.

Matt picks up his datapad and walks out of the room. Half a minute later, he comes quickly walking back in and tries to kiss Ari before leaving again.

She will be kissed but only because she is so shocked and surprised that she can't kiss him back or pull away. She doesn't know which she would have done. After that she leaves, half smiling, and deadtimes.

Matt grins a little bit, then walks off to wander the base. He soon finds himself looking in the exercise room at Patty.

Fighting deadtime oozes is an unfair fight!

But the ghost turns back, and shrugs.

"Fight? Who said anything about fighting? I was going to ask you to just leave, politely."

"You did." Caliblufiok says, facepalming and shaking his head. And people think destroying the multi-verse and the people in it is a BAD thing.

And even as he grins at Cal, there's a poke to the lich's shoulder from behind...

Calublufiok steps forward JUST when he'd be poked, dodging it altogether in that frustrating way. It's like he can see in all directions at once! He continues walking in that direction he took the step in.

Cal might sense incoming pokes from the left of him!
Pokes from the right of him!
BR grinning in front of him!
And...
...two more white-haired grinning ghosts to either side in periphiral vision, delivering the pokes?
But he's right there in front of him!

Nope. Actually he's behind him. Cal just bamfed behind the grinning BR and continues walking. Only it was more like a ghostly flicker from one spot to the other. Since there's a theme and all to keep up with.

And with a flash of light there's another ghost in front of Cal!

...a quick scan with senses might hint at five of them now...

All five might get unexpectedly force blasted in the face, as Cal splits into six copies himself. One of which keeps walking, cause he heard somewhere that overpowered vs overpowered fights are really boring. Though admittedly hasn't tested it yet.

The ghosts fizzle away as they're blasted!
But a voice whispers in the goblin's ear...

Cal rejoins into one and keeps walking, looking for other people. He is not impressed with the haunting! He'll step into the kitchen here shortly.

Her hair is messy, her eyes dark-ringed from lack of sleep. She lacks her usual bouncy cheer.

I've been... having strange dreams, but not just that. There's other things... memories I don't remember having. I keep... uncovering them.

Tsiln blinks blankly for a second, then shudders.
Th-that must be it... Fear adds itself to the troubles on her face.

I don't mean any offense, but weren't you just some low ranking secretary or whatever? What would anyone want to remove from your head? Angela tries to hug the daemon and provide comfort via nuzzling.

Well, if you remember anything important, tell me right away. Whomever did it probably doesn't know the memories are coming back, so don't tell anyone you don't trust completely! Because, like, if the guy hears that you might remember something he would rather nobody know... Um, I don't mean you should worry, because we can totally protect you here!

I remember I was delivering some files to the Arcanoloths in one of the central towers... and the emergency alarms went off. In all the confusion I took the wrong door as it was closing and found myself in a stairway I'd never seen before...

I remember finding a door, but nothing after that's come back yet...
She holds Angela close, shaking gently.
