Ok I though up a great enviorment monster to have in a game.

The Great Ooze
Collosal Ooze
30HD
Stats St 4, Dex 4, Con 10, Int -, Wis -, Cha 10
Size/Reach (25x25ft, 0ft)
Speed - 5 ft, 5ft Climb
Special Qualities - immunie to slashing, Pierceing, and Bludgioning damage, Immune to Acid damage, Immune to Sonic Damage, Vulnerable to Fire damage
Special attacks -Engulf - If any Character occupies the same square as a great Ooze thay are considered to be engulfed and act as though they are swimming. They can make swim checks to pass though the squares of the Great Ooze, and are generaly ignored by the creature. The ooze is not made of water, and cannot be breathed even by creatures that normaly can breathe liquids.
- The ooze drags any character engulfed by it along with it when it moves, they stay in thier orientation to the ooze as it moves.
CR - 1

The ooze itself is not dangerous at all and surrvives by slowly moveing allong cave systems eating litchens and molds. It would make for interesting encouters as part of a puzzle or trap though, as you could use it to swim up something or some such.

Thoughts? Is this something that has been done before?

Might be useful if the ooze can occasionally move faster, creating the unpredictable risk of being swept away.

No idea why it has STR4 or CON10 or Cha10.

A level 1 commoner could trip this ooze by the way.

Basic principle: if something lacks a Wis score, it is not a creature.

AND that's about as far as it goes. Remake it.

If you want it mindless, have it with Int 0

Also it's strength would be Immense rather than tiny: you can make it so that it's completely unaggressive, though, and survives based on it's huge size, and the corpses of creatures that drown in it or were already rotting. Maybe with a slow metabolism, so its a Slime Glacier.

...any while I'm hijacking your idea, that would be a much cooler name.

It might be a good idea to stat it as a swarm. It does not individually attack smaller creatures, it just moves wherever it wants and everything that doesn't get away fast enough gets swollowed up by the goo.
Making a really freakishly big swarm of any ordinary ooze would be a good way to start.

You may want to use the standard monster format, too.
