creating undead [Archive] - Giant in the Playground Forums

Right. I have an ongoing character who is a cleric of weejas necromancer and I've been using libris mortis. That explained, I want him to be able to create more types of undead since he is supposed to be very clever. Specifically, I want him to make a necromental, among other things. Any suggestions for a way to do this in 3.5 RAW?

Yeah, with a few exceptions, must undead have no spells that create them. Your only option is to try to get DM fiat, or painstakingly create the conditions for "natural undead" (Allips, etc) to spawn, and then force your enemies through them. And then pray for DM fiat.

I was afraid of that. Incidentally, can clerics even do spell research? I thought that was only Wizards.

Hmmm. I'm away from my books at the moment. I think they can :S it doesn't sound unreasonable, anyway. Quite expensive.
