What is an Oni Knight? An oni knight is a warrior who, in the style of an Oni, uses almost ghostly arcane powers to augment their physical prowess.

Abilities Oni knights teleport around the battle feild, to assualt hard to reach foes, or to defend a vunerable ally. as they grow stronger, they gain the ability to take ghostly powers and strike fear into the hearts of enemies. Oni knights rely on Strenght for their melee attacks, and Charisma for their supernatural powers. Constitution and in some cases Dexterity can also be of benefit.

Role coming soon

Orginization Oni Knights aren't often organized, as each comes into his own power through a different way. They can be found employed as assassins, thanks to their teleportation powers, and often as enforcers, thanks to their terrifying abilities.

Working on Abilities

Oni Jump (Su) as a move action, an Oni Knight may teleport up to twice his move speed. he may do this a number of times equal to twice his Charisma modifier. An Oni Knight regains all uses of Oni jump whenever they take a 5 minute rest.

Teleport Charge (Su) An Oni Knight may chose to teleport instead of moving in a straight line when they charge. In addition, the Oni Knight acts as if they had the Pounce ability (full round attack on a charge) when they teleport as part of a charge. This consumes one use of Oni Jump

Ghostly Visage (Su) An Oni Knight may take on a ghostly visage 3 times a day (5 times at level 4). This power changes the users face into a terrifying ghostly monster's face. this effect lasts a number of rounds equal to the oni knight's charisma modifier. under Ghostly Visage, an Oni knight gains +2 Str, +2 Cha (this does add to the number of rounds Ghostly Visage lasts) and DR (Oni Knight Level)/-, as well as +2 AC and +4 to all intimidate checks. You regain all uses of Oni Jump when you activate Ghostly Visage. The effect may be dispeled in a similar manner as normal buff spells (Oni Knight has CL equal to their Hit Dice for this purpose).

Inescapable (Su) An Oni Knight threatens a at greater distance. Add 5ft times your Oni Knight class levels when determining how many squares you threaten (max +25ft at 5th level). This does not actually increase reach. However, an Oni Knight may teleport adjacent to a foe as a free action before making an attack of opportunity. If this attack of opportunity was provoked by an enemy attepting to teleport, you may instead chose to resolve the attack AFTER the foe teleports, landing adjacent to the targets target teleportation. This consumes one use of Oni Jump, as well as counting toward your normal limit of number of attacks of opportunity per turn.

You may also add your CHA modifier to you DEX modifier when determining how many attacks of opportunity you have as per the combat reflexes feat.

Soul Eater (Su) When you slay your foes, you steal some of their life force. You heal HP equal to twice your hit dice whenever you drop a foe

Improved Ghostly Visage (Su) Ghostly Visage now grants +4 Str and Cha, +8 to intimidate, and grants a fly speed equal to their land speed. While under improved ghostly visage, Inesacpable does not consume uses of Oni Jump. Soul Eater also grants 3 times your hit dice under Improved ghostly visage.

Special: A character who takes levels in Oni Knight may continue to take levels in Samurai

Ghostly Visage needs a caster level if it can be dispelled. I suggest caster level = character level, as making it equal to PrC level is too low. Class features aren't done. Mobility is good, intimidate can be useful but many things are immune to it (Undead, Mind Blank'd folks, Oozes) and others are pretty resistant. Intimidate by itself is kind of lackluster but there exist feats, skill tricks, items, PrC's, etc which make it quite scary. What else will the class do? Teleports as a swift action can be pretty scary, Inescapable might let them piggy back on teleports (which can be a very brave/stupid thing to actually do) or serve as a Dimensional Anchor type thing. We'll see when all the features are up.

Here are the rest of the class features. I haven't put in all the fluff yet, and the skills are still blank, but It's almost done!

Glimbur, I totally stole your idea for teleport piggy backing in the second part of Inescapable, Thanks!. Mostly it's used for being a one-man road block, and nailing foes who are trying to retreat. Intimidate for staredown + teleport into room, end fight before it begins :smallamused:
