If you are playing in one of my games, stop reading now. You know who you are.

--------

Gingerbread golems, flying spaghetti monsters, gelatinous cubes made of real gelatin...

I'm planning a light-hearted romp through a massive bakery/kitchen that has been sabotaged with animation magic, resulting in various foodstuff monsters arising.

Any further ideas for fun food-monsters, playground?

This Adventure (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/oa/20010413a) from WotC features a calzone golem if I recall correctly.

Assassin vines reflavored as spaghetti. Perhaps an enchanted swarm escapes when an insane wizard makes it fly and starts a legend among townsfolk that develops into a cult and eventually a major religion.

Zombies are no longer rotten, but freshly barbecued. If the meat is boneless consider skeletons in addition, because they must have done something with the bones after removal.

KFB(Kentucky Fried Basilisk)

various oozes are of course now various gelatins

All the appliances in a kitchen suddenly becoming animated objects would be hilarious with appropriate descriptions.

Perhaps they have to protect an NPC in an oven as fire elementals spawn and try to kill it.

Perhaps there's a succubus chef who wants the party to "kiss the cook"

Spell pasta fillings as items. Maybe the flavor of filling determines the buff? Maybe something like Silverclawshift's spell bug things that cast spells except instead of different gems they're different types of pasta and fillings?

Instead of rolling boulders have giant cheese wheels. Make pits filled with molten fudge and spikes of asparagus alternately.

Have an awakened salad. It must be as big as you can get it and have the party walk into it so it can "toss" them.

Literal cherry bombs as weapons for them or the enemy.

If there is a dragon it must be striped and its breath must be minty fresh.

Perhaps some animated gum teams up with a gibbering mouther and it chews on it to give it new shapes like a polymorph spell.

If you don't have a soup dragon, tarragon dragon, parsley lion, sage owl and a dill dog, then you're doing something wrong :smalltongue:

A long time ago I wrote an AD&D module for a convention where one of the encounters featured Marshmallow Men.

They would drop off the ceiling on to characters and stick to them (aka grapple/entangle in 3.5 terms), then try to suffocate the characters. Needless to say, the Marshmallow Men were highly susceptible to fire based damage (mmm, tasty).

Well, of course, the BBEG super-villain *must* be a Psionic Sandwich (http://thestormwindfallacy.multiply.com/journal/item/76). I assume your players can survive the onslaught of a level 20 Psion who happens to be served with fries and a slice of pickle. If not, perhaps you should go with a slightly less intimidating opponent, say, a stack of pancakes or something.

I do believe there's a pepper golem in the entry for the king's pepper shaker in the tome of artifacts. You could even hide the artifact there somewhere and just laugh as your players pass over it.

No mention of the marshmallow man (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d-sALU_hveA)?

This (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UerBCXHKJ5s), obviously.
Another possible source of inspiration could be Bananaman (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3dPnGFdMrW4).

The ghost of a French waiter following the PCs around and making sarcastically polite remarks about their fighting techinques.

"If Messieurs really want to use the silver Kukri on the calzone golem, far be it from me to object..."

"Yes, it is entirely possible to battle the red wine ooze and the salad strangler at the same time. No, Messieurs, not a problem at all.."

I still get crap from my players for facing them against a "giant hot pocket" as they put it.

I wanted to make a follow-up to the module several people have linked and posted a similar thread on the 3.5 forums, which I will link to now (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=205103).

A few of my ideas (that I don't think have been mentioned)

-Fight on a skillet that slowly heats up
-Salt and pepper mephits
-Mimic of a boiling pot of water
-"Broccoli" treant
-Wine elementals

Is it odd that I knew it was Attack of the Killer Tomatoes before clicking?

And to those of you who have never heard of it, yes that is a real movie.
