So, I am building a goblin gunslinger in pathfinder and am looking for ways to optimize it. Our group is using a 20 point buy for stats. We are starting at level 5 with 10500 gp.

Thanks

20 pt buy you say? Goblin you say? Level 5 you say? To shreds you say?

All levels in Gunslinger, you just barely start with Dex-to-Damage.
Str 9 (11 -2 race)
Dex 22 (17 +4 Race, +1 levelup)
Con 14
Int 8
Wis 15
Cha 5 (7 -2 race)

Take Pistolero or Musket Master, whichever you prefer.

You only have 4 feats to work with (3 levels, 1 Gunslinger), not much.
Rapid Reload is a must have, and Musket Master gets it for free, AND lets you treat a Musket as a 1-hander for reloading (down to a move action already).
Deadly Aim is another must, basically Power Attack for ranged weapons.
Deft Shootist would be nice, but you have to get Dodge and Mobility first.
Improved Critical is a MUST once you hit level 8.

After that, pretty much anything that helps with ranged attacks.

if you're at a level were you can afford it (and you are) you should buy alchemical cartages. This allows/will allow you to full attack with your musket of choice because it reduces reload time by one step. Sure, it increases misfire chance, but that's what quick clear is for.

edit: Wanna go for broke, aren't allowed advanced firearms, and don't want a magic gun? Consider a double hackbut, for 2d10 damage and the same reload speed, sacrificing only the fact that you must spend a full round setting up if you don't want to be sent flying prone. The idea of a tiny goblins with a enormous gun is hilarious, and it's only 18 ilbs, impressive concidering damage.
