Chat Software for a LP

Hello, me and my friends are going to be starting a LP soon, but there is one thing that would be nice to know:

What good software is there to chat while recording? I know of Teamspeak and Ventrilo, but that's about it. Any superior ones, or more reliable?

Mumble has good voice quality with low bandwidth and cpu usage.

hmm, looking at ventrilo, do you have to have server pro, or can you just host a normal server without paying? (we are looking for something free if possible)
