Since an increasing number of Playgrounders have been getting blue pony avatars lately, here is a place for blue ponies to meet, hang out, and share experiences as blue ponies.

So, I should probably include a funny story about my own blue pony. See, my blue pony is named Raindrop, and his talent is to control weather magic as easily a a pegasus pony.

What I didn't realize is that ScionoftheVoid had not only already come up with the exact same special talent for his unicorn pony, but also the exact same cutie mark to represent that talent.

Of course, I was pretty embarrassed when I found out that I unknowingly stole this idea from him. Recently, I found out that Raindrop shares his name with the fan name for another pegasus pony.

Question for Raindrop. Since you don't have wings, doesn't that make it difficult to be a weather pony? Do you ride around on a little cloud, like the Monkey King? That would be awesome.

Actually, you're right. Usually what I do is just use a bit of magic to grab a small cloud, bring it to me on the ground, hop on, and use the winds to get where I need to go. The view from on the clouds is amazing!

Of course, being so much closer to the clouds than when I'm on the ground, is really only necessary when us weather ponies are making rainclouds, or, my personal favorite, building thunderstorms.

You should have seen me before I learned the cloud-walking spell. I had to rely on a hot air balloon to see above the clouds.

Topaz can be all sorts of colors, since it's just quartz, but blue topaz is one of the prominent ones in the gem trade. Yellow quartz is also called citrine.

It's just a frivolous spin-off from an observation in the main pony thread that a lot of the pony avatars were blue.

In general, threads like this shouldn't be created. If we allow a blue ponies thread then we have to allow an orange ponies thread and a purple pegasus ponies thread and so on.
