you are in fact correct, flatfooted does indeed stop immediate actions. thats annoying...
bob is now very thoroughly dead. he infact fit -10 exactly, without a single HP over.

Id buy a 2g sunrod for your next match when you think someone is gonna be knocking lights out. Gives a nice 60shirt foot light radius, prevents hiders from gettin too close, etc.

Plus.. you can hold it in your mouth once you light it and have hands free for anything else.

Flat-footed and denied Dex bonus to AC are separate conditions, and the latter does not prevent the use of immediate actions; you are only flat-footed before taking your first action in the match.

Im sorry, should have specificed what I meant. IIRC the elen shield thing requires the elen to be aware of the attack to use the shield.

In this case he was not, as peta has gotten rid of the lantern giving light to his square.
Thus having total concealment from bob
Was just easier saying vs flatfooted ac for attack rolls.

no, it only requires an immediate action. total concealment only grants a miss chance. he was not flatfooted against the attack, I think

I don't see anything in the ability description that would require the elan to be aware of the attack to reduce the damage; it's activated after being hit. Which line are you basing that on?
