Impervious Commander

Among the ranks of famous warriors, Impervious Commanders are legendary for their stalwart defense. Often put in charge of the defense of castles, it is not uncommon for them to be the personal bodyguards of nobility. Clad in heavy armor and with incredible endurance, it is difficult to fell such an experienced warrior.
While found often in the ranks of fighters, cavaliers, and paladins, on occasion a strategist such as a magus may rise to the plate of an Impervious Commander. It is even possible to find a lowly warrior thrust into greatness, and it is such unlikely heroes that carve legends of their names.

Alignment: It is impossible for an Impervious Commander to take on a Chaotic view of the world, as their loyalty prevents them from thinking of themselves first. Lawful Neutral is the most common alignment, with the other Lawful alignments not far behind. Ultimately, though, they can have any non-Chaotic alignment.

Class skills: Appraise, Climb, Craft, Diplomacy, Intimidate, Knowledge (engineering; history; nobility), Profession, Sense Motive, Survival, Swim
Skills ranks per level: 4 + INT modifier

Weapon and armor proficiencies: Impervious Commanders are proficient with all martial weapons, all types of armor, and all shields (including tower shields).

Aura of Loyalty*: At level 1, an Impervious Commander gains a 20' aura that benefits all allies (including cohorts and underlings from the Leadership feat, or soldiers put under his command by another ally). This aura only functions while the Commander is conscious.
All allies in the aura gain a +1 morale bonus to attack and damage rolls. When flanking an opponent within the aura, all flankers get +3 to attack rolls rather than +2.
At level 5, Aura of Loyalty improves. It is now a 35' aura that grants +2 to attack and damage rolls, and +4 when flanking. In addition, allies within the aura gain a +1 to initiative rolls. This replaces, and does not stack with, the original bonuses from Aura of Loyalty.
At level 9, Aura of Loyalty improves again. It is now a 50' aura that grants +4 to attack and damage rolls, and +5 against flanked opponents. In addition, all allies within the aura gain +3 to initiative rolls. This replaces, and does not stack with, the bonuses provided by Improved Aura of Loyalty.
Improved Armor: At level 1, an Impervious Commander's armor becomes more effective. He gains a +1 armor bonus to AC while wearing medium or heavy armor. At level 4 and 7, this improves by +1.
Bonus feats: At level 2, and every 3 levels thereafter, an Impervious Commander gains a bonus feat. This bonus feat must be a combat feat or a teamwork feat.
Aura of Good Health*: At level 3, an Impervious Commander gains a 20' aura that gives all allies (as labelled by Aura of Loyalty) fast healing 3. This aura only functions while the Commander is conscious.
Aura of Iron Defense*: At level 6, an Impervious Commander gains a 20' aura that gives all allies (as labelled by Aura of Loyalty) DR 5/-. This aura only functions while the Commander is conscious.
Commander of Legend: At level 10, an Impervious Commander has secured his place in bardic tales of heroes and leaders. He gains a permanent +10 to his Leadership score. All allies gain a +2 temporary bonus to all stats while within the Impervious Commander's Aura of Loyalty. Whenever the Commander drops an enemy, he gains immunity to damage and a +10 morale bonus to attack rolls until the end of his next turn. He gains DR 10/- while flanking an opponent. The Commander may now have 2 auras active at once.

* Only one aura may be active at once, until you gain Commander of Legend. Auras from other classes are not affected by this restriction.

This is my hopefully-successful attempt to introduce a PrC for "meatshield" warriors, with a leader theme... hence the Leadership requirement, and the ally-based auras. Please critique politely!

9/29/11 - The Impervious Commander may only have one aura active at once. Commander of Legend now allows him to have 2 auras active at once.
