Halitosis-berd
This is a magical halberd with images of garlic, onions, and mouths full of rotting teeth inscribed on the blade and haft.
For purposes of anything that would damage, disenchant, or destroy it it is always considered a +5 weapon. For purposes of effectiveness as a weapon the enhancement bonus on this weapon varies based on how the wielder's breath smells, note that if it has an enhancement bonus of +0 or less, than it does not count as a magical weapon for purposes of bypassing damage reduction, striking incorporeal creatures, etc.

This weapon is immune to any attempt to determine the nature of its power through any magic short of the direct intervention of a minor deity. It detects as magical, but the strength of the aura is flickering, and thus impossible to pin down.
Suggested method of introduction:
It is recommended that you introduce this weapon in the hands of a tough foe of exceptionally poor (oral) hygiene (poor enough to grant at least a +4 bonus) who will breath in the face of any person who enters his reach as an immediate action (give the foe a feat for this ability if you feel it necessary... or one for the ability, and another to make it usable as an immediate action). The DC should be staged (such as: DC 20 or dazed, if fail by 10 then instead stunned, if failed by 20 then instead slain outright), and the maximum effect should be clearly stated to the players, despite being impossible for any of the PCs to suffer, due to having to fail the fortitude save by so great a margin.
