Good evening again, Playgrounders!

I come to you again, this time with a query. I am quite aware my personal experience making so-called "killer" builds ( see also "uber", "optimized", etc) is lacking, which is why I am here.

For the campaign I am making this character for, I do admit I already have a fairly fun pure Warlock. However, and this has been discussed between dm and self, said 'lock will depart at a significant point in the game. Without spoilers, it is likely that some of the players will throw things at me after it happens :D

But I digress. What I ask of you, Playgrounders, is simple: given the options I will list, what are some good, fun, and dare I say breaking builds I could try? Keeping in mind there is already an annoying character in the party (treasure-hoarder), so showing him up is a plus :).

Books available, besides core, include most all of the Complete series, except for Psionics, that's barred. Not sure of PHB 2, checking up on that. I have 0 experience with multiclassing or PrCs, but willing to try. It is likely this switch will happen somewhere between levels 10 and 15, and the presence of equips is fairly high, if that helps.

Also, the party lacks any divine casting, which I'm fine with filling. I would prefer to avoid lawful and evil, if that's fair :). As far as templates go, feel free to use them, though I likely won't prefer it this time

If additional info is needed, just ask me. In advance, thanks for the help!

Ever played a swiftblade (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/prc/20070327)? If you can convince your DM to allow it because it's only posted on the Wizards of the Coast website, it might be fun. Wizard6/swiftblade9 might be fun, getting an extra standard action every turn is pretty awesome, plus the miss chances people have against you.

Or perhaps abjurer2/master specialist7/initiate of the sevenfold veil7 if you want maximal defensive abilities.

If you can convince your DM to allow unearth Arcana material that's on the SRD material
Cleric7/prestige paladin (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/classes/prestigiousCharacterClasses.htm#prestigePaladin)3/contemplative6 is also nice. You give up a caster level for divine grace, a special mount, and other paladin abilities. Note that unearth arcana has variant paladins as well, so you could ask to use a chaotic good code of conduct instead of lawful good.

If you want divine casting and broken, druid (http://brilliantgameologists.com/boards/index.php?topic=1354.0) x stand outs as the simplest option. If in the Realms, Rashemi Elemental Summoning excels starting around level 10. I adore the flavor of the elemental-focused druid. The elemental companion ACF lacks the sheer combat might of high-end animal companions but compensates for that with outstanding versatility. Here's a quick sample build:

Druid 1 - Spell Focus (Conjuration), Augment Summoning)
Druid 3 - Beckon the Frozen or Extend Spell
Druid 6 - Natural Spell
Druid 9 - Rashemi Elemental Summoning
Druid 12 - Dragon Wild Shape

You're a druid, so you win. It's pretty straightforward. Buff yourself with awesomeness like the elemental hearts from Complete Mage and turn into something monstrous.

Alternatively, you can abuse enhance wild shape (Spell Compendium) in conjunction with swarm wild shape (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/we/20070228a) to become immune to weapon damage. Or with Aberrant Wild Shape to turn into an invisible, magic-immune will-o'-wisp (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/monsters/willOWisp.htm).
