Gazillion Entertainment is in charge of making two Marvel MMOs. The first; a little kid's MMO called Superhero Squad, has been released. This thread is not about that browser MMO. This is about Marvel Universe Online.

What we know:

MUO is coming out next year
The game will be free to play
Players will not create their own characters. They will choose one of many marvel characters to play as.
Spider-Man, Squirrel Girl, Wolverine, Captain America, Deadpool, Thor, and Storm are confirmed to be playable.
It is currently unknown if you can play villains.
Doctor Doom will be the game's main villain.
The game will retell various Marvel storylines, like the Secret Invasion. "What happens and how these stories are resolved, is entirely up to the players" as Gazillion mentioned to forevergeek.com
The game will be for "hardcore" fans, and will be darker and more mature then the other Marvel MMO Gazillion made.
Brian Michael Bendis is writing the game.

I'm very excited about this game. There's only three things I'm wondering at the moment:

Will the Secret Wars (not the recent one, the one from the 80s that introduced the Beyonder and the Symbiote) be part of the game.
Will players be able to customize their hero's appearence (as in, if I play Iron Man, could I change the appearence of his armor to Extremis or the Hulkbuster armor) and his statistics (so if I play Spider-Man, if I could make him webswing really fast).
Will there be a cap on character's, as in, will there only be one Spider-Man per server? Because if so, Marvel's going to need a whole bunch of them.

Didn't DCU flop? Do we really need even more superhero MMOs...

DCUO, while not well-received by critics, has a good playerbase so far. In the time I played it, there was a lot of players on the server. I just hope Marvel and Gazillion release some gameplay videos so that way we can actually see what the game is.
