Why not throw in some druid for madness inducing "Bear riding a Bear turning into a Bear while summoning more Bears" action?

Someone has to say it, so it might as well be me.

My only failing is not knowing how to include the lycanthropy aspect of turning into a bear again while Bear Warrior turning into a bear...

Edit: Oh and perhaps some levels in Beastmaster for extra Bear animal companions? And why is there no Bear Swarm?

I don't see the Wild Cohort (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/re/20031118a) feat in there to gain an additional Bear companion.

Also, what's up with all the Vows?

So if it was a necropolitan Bear it would be unbearable?

Note that Anthropomorphic Animals cannot be Lycanthropes, as their type is Monstrous Humanoid.

You fix this by making them Dustform Creatures, then applying Incarnate Construct to make them proper Humanoids.

Well, the Consitution in America says he has the right to Bear Arms. I'd assume that includes Bear hands.

Might be a better way of getting divine spells than Pious Templar too.
Though I lose mettle.

My preferred Bearington Bearman build is Incarnate Dustform Anthropomorphic Black Bear Were-Black Bear Bear Totem Barbarian/Bear Warrior/Bear Lord with Vow of Poverty and Improved Unarmed Strike. He's a humanoid bear who can transform into a bear, worships a bear, can get angry and turn into a bear, talk to bears, summon bears, fight with his bear hands, and carry only the bear essentials.

Sounds good to me. :)

I actually found 5 different ways to shape-change into a bear too.
Interestingly some of them don't say that they don't stack...

Were Bear + Baresark (Berserker from Deities and Demigods) + Bear Warrior allows me to shift to werebear + a different werebear + a different anthropomorphic bear form.
Stacking all of the strength and con bonuses.

3/day I have +40 strength. :P

Don't forget to be a Tauric Creature! You are an anthro-bear werebear who is a bear from the waist down! Also instead of dustform you might wanna spring for Half-Golem instead? No LA and some nifty abilities. Effigy is good too, you can go with the whole backstory of "This sculpter was totally obsessed with bears. So he sculpted me. Then used the Incarnate Construct thing to make me a real bear-boy!" Bearnoccio style.

In addition to the right to bear arms, I think we should have the right to arm bears, but this is a very polar-izing issue.

You need to stop and get your bearings. Of course he can go bear-back. He just needs to get a wild cohort to do so. If, of course, the encumbrance is not too much for his mount to bear.

When these threads start up, it's usually hard to bear, but I'm finding that I can bear up under all the polarisingly bad and nigh-unbearable puns without feeling like a sad panda. Maybe I'm just used to it, as long as I take a brief paws before entering the thread.

Detective Kodiak plucked a single hair from the bearskin rug and at once understood the grisly nature of the crime: it had been a ferocious act, a real honey, the sort of thing that could polarize a community, so he padded quietly out the back to avoid a cub reporter waiting in the den.

...and I say we need to have all possible sorts of bears in this.

Your right.
Totally needs some beast master levels somehow in order to have many bears with many arms.

This is where Gestalt usually comes in handy.

Your build's only bearly legal in a few key places, though. Bear builds like these ones don't require quite the same level of bear-knuckled no-holds-beared optimization.

I've been invited to a 3.5 game. I've not played 3.5 in a few years and I don't remember much about it. I was hoping someone could help me. What is the best build for me to start with (at level 1)? I'd like it to be able to hold its own (ya know, as much as a melee can) while being as Bear-y as possible. Or is it even possible to create a bear build at level 1 due to LA's?

Can't bear to see many more of these threads, they are turning me polar, making me end up like a sad panda. There are bearely other thred on this board anymore. the pandamonium is getting ursademic. Where has the time gone? Bears used to be encountered only in dire situations. Soon all the honey will be gone and then the Pooh has really hit the paws.
