Been looking at bind elemental feat, and now i'm on the search for easy to bind elementals that are large or larger (preferable colossal) but have low amounts of hit dice, so I can use smaller dragonshards to contain them.

Thanks for any help. Push come to shove I'm looking for a colossal elemental that doesn't have 64 HD.

The only thing I have here right now is the crystal keep list. (Which doesn't even have colossal elemantals).

The biggest with lowest HD are:
Gargantuan - Elder Spawn of Jubilex 16HD (MMV p163)
Huge - Caller from the Deeps 9HD (Storm p140)

Hmmm that is annoying. Thank you for those two though. I'm sure I could make some nice 15% and 10% discounts from them.

Would templated animals suffice? A half-elemental baleen whale has 12 HD. Gargantuan, but not too bad. I hear they make fine hats.

Gargantuan:

Monolith (complete arcane) 36HD
Omnimental (MMIII) 32HD
Tempest (MMII) 24HD

Alternatively, most huge elementals have int 6 and wis 11, which means they could by raw take 3 levels in psychic warrior and the practiced manifester feat, then augment expansion. Perhaps a little more plausible if you give them the elite array and a high wis.

Elemental weirds (MM2) have fairly low HD, IIRC. 15 or so? They also have a whacked out cr (sorc18 spellcasting at just cr12?) :smalleek: Probably not what you are looking for, but among the more useful ones that come to mind at the moment.
