A friend asked me to work out a model for the economics of a kingdom for a campaign he is in. He will work out the map later. Basically it is a spreadsheet whereby each profession is listed for every permanent resident of each town type, from thorp up to metropolis. I worked the numbers, and it seems kind of wierd, that with a population of 300kish in the kingdom, the 25% tax rate gives in about 27 million gold in taxes each year. Anyone able to take a look at it and give me a hand?
It is an open office spreadsheet, so excel should work.
EDIT: This sheet is only the profits per NPC based on DMG rules for working in your chosen profession. I am planning on making a more detailed second sheet that goes into farm production, mining, manufacturing, and similar to see if this kingdom needs more or less of each profession to be a viable and self sustaining entity.
