Recently started rereading SilverClawShift's epic campaign journals (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=116836) and I got to wondering what other journals people have enjoyed. I've seen a few other threads, but the writing is generally poor and the story is boring.

So what other threads have you found that are fun and entertaining reads, even if not as awesome as the legendary SCS?

Right now I'm subscribed to Dralnu's A Swordsage's Journal (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=169149) (ongoing). He also has a journal for an evil campaign he's DMing, but I haven't read that yet.

Here's (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=179239) a Vampire: The Masquerade journal I stumbled on a while back. Unfortunately the Storyteller dropped the campaign just as the main plot was really picking up, but it was a good read while it lasted.

The only two good ones I've encountered were just listed by you two -- SilverClawShift's and the swordsage one. But damn, are they good.

I'd heartily recommend Saph's campaign journals as well. One was with Saph as a DM running Red Hand of Doom, one was with Saph as a player in a setting called Seven Kingdoms. No links, sorry :smallfrown:

Saph's Seven Kingdoms (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=139572) and RHoD (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=94243). AslanCross's Eberron RHoD (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/archive/index.php?t-110022.html) was excellent too. But SCS's is definitely on a level of its own, both on originality and in writing. While her DM is awesome, her writing also certainly adds to the story. Oh, Doomriders (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=125072) was also quite interesting with yet another different style.

Hmm... well most of the good 3.5e seem to have already been pimped, but MlleRouge has just started one that seems to be very promising here: http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=221412&highlight=journal*

If you have any interest in non-dnd journals may I present to you the Mage: The Awakening journals of DaveB.
Blood Diamond: http://forum.rpg.net/showthread.php?279847-Actual-Play-Mage-The-Awakening-The-Broken-Diamond-%28contains-Reign-of-the-Exarchs
The Soul Cage: http://forum.rpg.net/showthread.php?375715-Mage-The-Awakening-The-Soul-Cage
The Man Comes Around: http://forum.rpg.net/showthread.php?591295-Mage-the-Awakening-The-Man-Comes-Around

They are the only campaign logs I have come across which exceed SilverClawShift's in awesomeness. Yes, I said it.:smalleek:

If you browse around the rpgnet actual play forum (Where the Mage logs come from) you can find quite a few good reads.

*I apologise for being unable to post links in sentence format and thus being unable to make ye olde witty comments with them.

Edrigar Mafia (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=189659&highlight=edrigar+mafia). The things the players do are probably less awesome than in Silverclawshift's campaigns and the writing style is less focused on the narrative, but that DM is amazing.
