Hey everyone! I was thinking about all the D&D acronyms that people use -DMG, ToB, BAB - and I think we should start an acronym vault. One, so people new to D&D will actually know what us in GitP (there I go again!) are talking about, but mainly just to have a compilation so we can say we did it.

How about for neatness, everyone puts the number of the acronym like this:

235) BoED: Book of Exalted Deeds

So, without further ado, lets get to it!

1) PHB/PhB: Player's Handbook

2) DMG: Dungeon Master's Guide

3) MM: Monster Manual

4) HP: Hit Points

5) BAB: Base Attack Bonus

6) DR: Damage Reduction

7) SR: Spell Resistance

8) Str: Strength

9) Wis: Wisdom

10) Dex: Dexterity

Note the stickies at the top of the main RPG forum. Lots of useful stuff there.

8) Str: Strength

9) Wis: Wisdom

10) Dex: Dexterity

I just want to point out that these are abbreviations, not acronyms.
