Hello again Playground,

now our DM finally moved back to Aachen and we will begin to play soon.

But somehow I've got the feeling my Character could die pretty quick and so I would like to make Background Characters with the following restrictions:

1st Level
Point Buy 15 (Assuming)
Eberron (so nothing from Golarion) Campaign Setting
If possible Core only (Classes)

The Books we are allowed to take are:

Pathfinder CRB
Ultimate Magic
Ultimate Combat
Advanced Players Guide

But a "few" 3.5 books will be allowed too (since someone wants to be an Ultimate Magus from Complete Mage[don't know the opinion of the GM from that]).

So here are my 3 concepts so far:

Nathan Yin - Arcane Duelist going Dragon Disciple

Stats:
Human Arcane Duelist Bard 1 going Dragon Disciple
Assuming Point Buy 15
Str (+2 racial): 17 (7)
Dex: 13 (3)
Con: 12 (2)
Int: 13 (3)
Wis: 7 (-4)
Cha: 14 (5)

Feats:
Human: Weapon Prof (either Falchion or Nodachi)
1st Level: Combat Expertise (going Butterfly sting later)
Bard Bonus: Arcane Strike (replaces Bardic Knowledge)

But now comes the knackpoint. 3rd level can now be Powerattack or Butterfly Sting. Which should I prefer? I either wanted to go Critical Focus or enchanting my weapon with Keen later.

Character Concept - Sap Master
I would like to make a "Sap-Master Rogue" for the Humans and for undeads and monsters just a normal backstabbing "monster". But somehow I don't quite get the feeling, what feets I should take. Except for Weapon Finesse and Dancing Dervish. But somehow Sap-Adept seems to be like made for me...still it somehow got a nasty nasty taste of Weapon Focus on it...

Prepare to be boarded!http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-m9CI1VhZ3Bs/Tes_xI1BwmI/AAAAAAAAAo8/8ze2WEJVZdI/s1600/Pirate_Splash_0.jpg

Yes, this ones should be a bit like Gangplank, since thats the champ I enjoy most in LoL. For those who Don't know he has some nice abilities.

Grog Soaked Blade
Basic Attack deals additional Poison damage and slows target (not important)
Parrrrrrley!
Am aimed shot from his gun dealing massive damage.
Remove Scurvy
He eats Citrus fruits to heal himself of a small amount and to remove Crowd Control.
Raise Moral
Enhancing Passively his movementspeed and attackdamage a little.
Enhancing actively the movementspeed and attackdamage of everyone in sight.
Cannon Barrage
Not important.

I more like to get the flavour of a dirty Pirate fighting with a Scimitar and a Pistol (off hand). And now I'm additionally to confused what feat I should take confused about which class(es) I should take.

I hope you can help me.

1) PA is always useful.
Butterfly Sting: You expecting to give up your critical a lot?

2) Enforcer complements Sap master

3) Not sure.

1) Yep, giving it to the ranger for nasty x3 crits instead of x2, except i can get the paladin to take a scythe....

2) Enforcer? Could you please explain that?

For the Pirate guy
STAY AWAY FROM Sword and Pistol (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/combat-feats/sword-and-pistol-combat) feat. It's just horrible for what you actual get for the pre-reqs.

Unless you are actually on a ship the Swashbuckler Rogue (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/rogue/archetypes/paizo---rogue-archetypes/swashbuckler) seems a better choice than the Pirate Rogue.

Either dip 1 level of Gunslinger for Firearm-proficiency, or take the Rogue Talent

Bard sounds like a decent fit to get some of the party buffs.

Deadly Aim (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/combat-feats/deadly-aim-combat) feat can get you massive gun damage.

2) Enforcer? Could you please explain that?

Enforcer: it shakens foes who are dealt nonlethal (if fail Intimidate check). if you Crit, you Frightened them 1rd then Shakens them.
http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/combat-feats/enforcer-combat

Shaken foes fight worse. Thus, it complements it.
Add in Dazzling Display (Prereq))+ Shatter Defenses
http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/combat-feats/shatter-defenses-combat---final.
Meaning after you hit them with 1st attack (they are shaken usually) so every attack after is sneak attack.

You can get Dazzling display as a 2nd level Cavalier (Order of Cockatrice )without Prereqs. Plus, you get +2 hit on every shaken foe.

Human: Sap Adept
1st: Combat Expertise

So, I stattet all three out till level 6. Is this any good? Or should I change something? Maybe Stats? Feats? Race?
I hope you can help me with reaching the final state of these.

Either you forgot the Human bonus feat, OR you meant to put Half-Elf.
I'd recommend Half-Elf, that way both Rogue and Gunslinger can be favored classes, AND you can trade in the racial Skill Focus feat for a +2 to Will saves from an alternate race feature.

Argh, yes, forgot that one... (wasn't sure about the skill foci I should take...)

Any recommendation?
