I've been looking to make an RPG for a while now and I'm looking at the roll and keep system (with a little tweak or two) to run it. the problem is that I've been looking for the legal information regarding it so that I don't step on anyone's toes and I'm not finding any legal documentation. can anyone help?

Actually, he was probably blatantly supporting his homebrew/his preferred homebrew.

In other news, there is no legalese regarding resolution mechanics--nobody owns d20 resolution systems (even though someone owns the name "d20", they can't stop you from using icosahedral dice), or dicepool, or roll-and-keep. Enjoy making your game.

Moreover, you can't actually own game mechanics. You can own specific wordings, and even individual terms, but not mechanics.
