Shadowcraft mage handbooks show ways to enter this class as early as level 6 (5 level of wizard, then heighten spell/earth spell). As far as I can tell show, this DOES NOT work -
the entry requirements are stated thus: must be able to cast a SHADOW spell of 4th level or higher.
Well the first shadow spell is shadow conjuration, a 4th levl spell, is it not? At that point, what difference does it make to heighten silent image to 4th, it's still not a shadow spell - it's a figment.
Is this just an oversite?
ED: well I answer my own question by cruising through the SC - net of shadows, 1st level spell.
