Cross your fingers playgrounders.

My DM has switched back to PF (http://s.ecrater.com/stores/64230/48729e7ae45d4_64230n.jpg I guess...)

I plan on running the following build (Sources shown with Links)

Race: Warforged (http://pf-eberron.wikidot.com/races:warforged) Using Integrated Weapon: Light Flail instead of the Slam

Class: Armiger (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/3rd-party-classes/s/armiger) 10/ Armor Bonded (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/3rd-party-prestige-classes/4-winds-fantasy-gaming/armor-bonded) 10

The idea is to embody the theme of his name: Shield VII

http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/excerpts_epg_0601.jpg

A veteran of the war, Shield VII was a guardian of a deep ravine on the coastline. He and 29 other warforged were to hold the line against the tide from (Insert Bad-Guy Nation "X") ala 300

Now, two major questions:

1) In Warforged Armiger Favored Class there is the following:

The armiger gains +1/6 of a new armiger talent.
In simple English, what precisely does that mean?

2) How well will I preform over time?

Thanks to all who post, and may your dice never roll anything below your necessary Crit Range.

For point #1, if you put 6 levels into that favored class option, at your sixth level you will gain a new armiger talent, if you put 12 into it you would get 2.

as for #2 I have no idea. Sorry mate.

1) Thanks. It's not exactly spelled out anywhere

2) Thanks for trying

Armiger looks like a terrible, terrible 3rd party class. You'd be far better off with ten levels of Barbarian, Ranger, Paladin, or even Fighter (assuming a decent archetype). That interpretation of the Warforged looks pretty suspect as well. Net -2 to stats (when pretty much every playable PF race has a +2 to stats?) in exchange for more weaknesses and a handful of immunities? Oh, and Endurance! Wheeee!

Also, one of those full BAB classes will get you into Armor Bonded much more quickly, as will the Aegis, a new psionic class from Dreamscarred Press. Here's the beta version of it (http://www.dreamscarredpress.com/dragonfly/ForumsPro/viewtopic/t=1566.html). (Edit: If you pre-order Psionics Expanded here (http://paizo.com/store/games/roleplayingGames/p/pathfinderRPG/dreamscarredPress/v5748btpy8krr), you get the final version).

Try this on for size: Divine Defender (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/paladin/archetypes/paizo---paladin-archetypes/divine-defender) Paladin (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/paladin). You can form a divine bond with your armor, buff your allies, and qualify for Armor Bonded in just 6 levels. That opens up 4 levels for a class like Hellknight (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/prestige-classes/other-paizo/e-h/hellknight) or an earlier entry into Armor Bonded.}

Armor Bonded has some interesting things in it. Agility Graft, Chain Whip, Crashdown, Damage Reduction, Health Graft, Power Graft, and Rumble Legs all look viable. Crashdown + some method of flying (possibly Wings, Lesser/Wings, though there are easier ways to fly) could make for some fun dive-bombing adventures. Do NOT take the "+1 to saves" grafts; get the appropriate "+2 to a stat" grafts instead - you still get +1 to the save, and other bonuses as well.

If you desperately want to do Armiger, take it for two levels to get Citadel and then run. Something like Armiger 2/Paladin 6/Armor Bonded 10 could work, and you could squeeze in 2 levels of Fighter, Ranger, or maybe 2 more levels of Paladin. Alternatively, getting Pounce (Full Attack on a charge; can't think of any Pathfinder legal ways to do this except 10 levels of Barbarian (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/barbarian/rage-powers/paizo---rage-powers/beast-totem-greater-su)) would make your Rumble Legs all that much more fun.

What level are you starting the campaign?

Armiger looks like a terrible, terrible 3rd party class.I'm inclined to agree... this class looks really bad. It grants a bunch of abilities that only work on adjacent allies or give marginal defensive boosts or are just terrible, and in exchange gets 0 damage or battlefield control boosts to make monsters actually want to attack you. For some reason there's a talent tax to offset his average BAB on top of that. Paladin with the Divine Defender, Sacred Shield or even Holy Tactician archetype would still fit thematically and is much less underwhelming.

B-b-b-but what happened with the Adept Godling?

But I have to agree, the Armiger looks quite...meh. And again, is the Weapon Focus part of a prerec? As stated you would probably run better with a tier 5 to 4 class than with the armiger.

Hope I could help...
