Ok I was just reading the ComChamp for a PrC and stumbled across the Scry skill.

Basic question is what is the Scry skill.

A 3.0ism that should have been caught and removed in editing. Ignore it, it's not relevant.

A 3.0 skill that like Innuendo, Read Lips and a few others I'm sure that I'm forgetting, was discontinued due to being overly specific and dumb.

In 3.0 it was the skill that you used along with spells such as Scrying to scrye on people. It was kinda weird and pointless so they took it out with 3.5.

It's a 3.0 skill. It's kind of weird (http://www.dragon.ee/30srd/)
Edit: Wow, not only triple ninja-ed, but also ninja-ed in my description.
I need to up my Scry skill . . .

If it were part of the first wave of 3.5 books I'd understand... but Complete Champion was, what, 3-4 years after the revision?

But, yeah. Bygone from the days of Read Lips, Innuendo, Wilderness Lore, and Survival.

Survival is in 3.5. Simply an updated Wilderness Lore.

The other one was Know Direction, which was a bit silly even in 3.0.

But they dropped the Innuendo skill! Usually, at least half the characters in our party had it! :smalltongue:

I should have typed Intuit Direction, rather than Survival. I've been awake too long writing code, oops.

Didn't innuendo get folded into bluff?

Of course it did. But many, many bad jokes were lost when they did.

"I'm very skilled at Innuendo, if you know what I mean."
