Free Prayer Beads of Karma?

In the DMG, the prices listed for Strands of Prayer Beads are as follows: Lesser 9,600gp; Standard 25,800gp; Greater 95,800gp. It lists the price reductions for removing Beads from the list as "Healing: -9,000gp" and "Smiting: -16,800gp".

If I am understanding this correctly, you can buy a Standard Prayer Bead strand (cost: 25,800 GP) that is missing the Healing and Smiting beads (leaving just the Karma bead behind) for a total price reduction of 25,800 GP.

What is going on here?

The price has been corrected in the errata. The SRD (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/magicItems/wondrousItems.htm#strandofPrayerBeads) has the correct prices, which are 9,600 gp (lesser), 45,800 gp (standard), 95,800 gp (greater). Now removing the two beads you cited leaves a total price of 20000 gp, the price of a bead of karma.
