So my friend is in an unfavorable position, and wants to turn it around.

He is a level one Favored Soul, and Wants to use Ur Priest and Ruby Knight Vindicator, Idiot Crusader (Can't know enough maneuvers to ever need to refresh). Idiot Crusading is optional, but preferred if possible. I want to know if any of this is possible in the first place? Does a Favored Soul/Crusader even get enough skill points to take Ur Priest before lvl 9 and take the RKV? Any tips for builds?

Hmmm, thats kinda a rough start to get into this. What race and what feats does he have? Cause this'll probably require Able Learner to get into the PrCs at a reasonable rate. There is a bit of fluff conflict between RKV and UrPriest because UrPriests steal magic from the gods while RKVs worship Wee Jas, a god, but both have adaptations you could work in.

Stuff you need:

Ur-Priest
Base Save Bonus: Fort +3, Will +3.
Skills: Bluff 6 ranks, Knowledge (arcana) 5 ranks, Knowledge (religion) 8 ranks, Knowledge (the planes) 5 ranks, Spellcraft 8 ranks.
Feats: Iron Will, Evil Spell Focus

RKV
Skills: Hide 4 ranks, Intimidate 4 ranks, Knowledge(religion) 8 ranks.
Martial Maneuvers: Must know at least one Devoted Spint maneuver.
Martial Stancess: Must know at least one Devoted Spirit stance.
Deity: Wee Jas.
Special: Ability to turn or rebuke undead.

The Idiot Crusader is actually the easiest part here.

Favored Soul1/Warblade2/Crusader1 fits it. Your 4 Warblade maneuvers known will be Stone Bones, Charging Minotaur, Leading the Attack, and Dousing the Flames. That means that the only 2 Crusader maneuvers you can take are Vanguard Strike and Crusader Strike. 2 maneuvers known, 2 maneuvers granted. Sucess.

From there...you need 1 more point of Will save, and a bunch of other skills. This probably won't be pretty.

Assuming you accept that Favored Souls should have Know:Religion (wasn't there errata?), at 1st level, assuming a 12 Int and Human, we can have:

Spellcraft 4
Know:Religion 4
Know: Arcana 4
Concentration 4

Warblade2 gives us another 12 points, and Intimidate as a class skill
Intimidate 6 (at cap from levels)
Bluff 3 (at cap from levels)
Know:Planes 3 (at cap from levels)

Crusader1 gives us another 6 skill points
Intimidate +1 (7 total)
Know:Religion +3 (7 total)
Know:Arcana +1 (5 total, finished)
Spellcraft +1 (5 total)

Warblade+1 would give us the +1 will save we need to get into UrPriest, so lets take that
6 more skill points, crossclass max raised to 4
Intimidate +1 (8 total, finished)
Bluff +1 (4 total, at cap from levels)
Know:Planes +1 (4 total, at cap from levels)
Know:Religion +1 (8 total, finished)
Spellcraft +2 (7 total)

from here, we either need 1 class with bluff as a class skill, or 2 more levels. We still need 3 more skill points (1 Spellcraft, 2 Bluff) to get into UrPriest. How about a level of Rogue? +1d6 SA is handy for SA, and it'll help us fill in our Hide reqs for RKV.

Rogue1
10 more skill points.
Bluff +2 (6 total, finished)
Hide 4 (finished)
Move Silent? UMD? 4 more skill points left to spend.

Urpriest2 gives us Rebuke Undead for RKV

RKV10 from there.

Final build:

Favored Soul1/Warblade2/Crusader1/Warblade+1/Rogue1/Urpriest2/RKV10/X2

Feats:
1 Able Learner
1H Iron Will
3 Evil Spell Focus
6 Extra Granted Maneuver
9 Extend Spell
12 Persist Spell
15 DMM Persist Spell
18 Skill Focus: Basketweaving

Crusader Maneuvers Known:

Level 3 (Crusader1, Crusader IL2) (Known 2/Granted 2)
Crusader Strike
Vanguard Strike
(Crusader's Stance stance)

Level 9 (RKV1, Crusader IL 5) (Known 2/Granted 3)
(Island of Blades stance)

Level 10 (RKV2, Crusader IL6) (Known 3/Granted 3)
Cloak of Deception

Level 11 (RKV3, Crusader IL7) (Known 3/Granted 3)
(none)

Level 12 (RKV4, Crusader IL8) (Known 3/Granted 3)
Bloodletting Strike (added to Warblade list, IL 9 at this level)

Level 13 (RKV5, Crusader IL9) (Known 3/Granted 4)
(none)

Level 14 (RKV6, Crusader IL10) (Known 4/Granted 4)
Shadow Stride
Assassin's Stance

Level 15 (RKV7, Crusader IL11) (Known 4/Granted 4)
(none)

Level 16 (RKV8, Crusader IL12) (Known 4/Granted 4)
Death In the Dark (added to Warblade list, IL 13 at this level)

Level 17 (RKV9, Crusader IL 13) (Known 4/Granted 5)
(none)

Level 18 (RKV10, Crusader IL 14) (Known 5/Granted 5)
Shadow Blink

There, by level 18, you can teleport 50' (move), strike off your Warblade or Crusader list (standard), and then teleport 50' away (swift). Every round. OR, you could Cloak of Deception instead. OR, you could burn a Turn Undead attempt to gain an additional swift action (Divine Impetus) and do both.

Should be pretty easy to follow along with what I wrote, right?

Wow, you are a miracle worker. Good job! I'd give you a cookie under a spoiler heading, but I am not familiar with how to work a forum :P

It doesn't matter if RKV and Ur don't mix, my friend just hates his DM and wants to screw with him.

EDIT: the best part is, it does not need more int, and our friend is a human. The DM saw him roll 2 18s and forced him to take 12s for everything else. Then the DM offer to wave a +1 race LA if friend wnated it. Friend wanted to be 1/2 dragon, DM said no, and forced him to be a human. :smallyuk:
