ok so i am going for a switch hitter who uses a reach weapon as his main and all the ranger combat feats are going to ranged... the problem is i don't know the feats well enough to optimize the build. i envision him being big on tripping in combat, so he will have sickles as his back up melee. so i went with the Guisarme, (2d4 ×3 — reach, trip). stat wise i am looking like:
Str:14
Dex:16
Con:10
Int:13
Wis:13
Cha:9

at level 4 i am putting a point in wis, and then it is str all the way.

probly not the best "optimized array", but this is what i need to fill the role i am wanting to play. (btw, the DM has allowed use of the short haft feat from 3.5)

thanks in advance:smallbiggrin:

it is a game of thrones campaign and we have a paladin for melee, and an inquisitor for ranged, we are trying to hire a rogue to help out too.

it is predominately humans in the campiagn so i thought that a ranger's favored enemy bonus would do nice to fill in some gaps where damage and skills are concerned.
