I'm playing a Fighter at first level and my stats at 25 pt buy is (str to cha)

I have 2000 gp to buy stuff.

What should I buy? I need about 500 for armor and weapons (i'll be using multiple weapons).

Also my character will be a LN Fighter of Tiamat/Bahamut (Well actually of Io but yeah Io got split... At least I'm using 4e lore not sure what it is in 3.X). I need a good code to live by, sure he will be lawful but I want to take some aspects of both Dragon deities ...

Something like

~Don't break a promise (Lawful)
~Don't lie unless necessary (Lawful)
~Don't let others take anything of yours, if they do then equal vengeance is the only answer. (Evil)
~ Protect the weak (good)
~It is better when everyone works together, those who don't want to make things easy for society should be taken out. (Lawful)

Or something like that...

I have taken some ranks in Craft (Alchemy) so that I can make things like Acid, Alchemic Fire, or Smoke Sticks :)

50ft Silk Rope, 10ft pole (for traps), Portable Battering Ram (sees more use than you'd think), backup melee weapon, a sap, a ranged weapon, Grappling Hook, Soap (be creative, also keeps you from smelling too bad), a vial or two of Liquid Sunlight (sheds light as a torch, but never runs out. Don't use it as a weapon), one of the ~350gp magic items that gives rations if your DM tracks that sort of thing.

Put your thinking cap on, go through the first table you find on This Page (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/equipment/goodsAndServices.htm), look at each item and ask "Is there any possible use this could ever have?", and if there is such a use, however obscure, buy it because that item is dirt cheap, your strength gives you carrying capacity to ignore the weight, and it couldn't hurt anyway.

For the codes, a Phylactery of Faithfulness (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/magicItems/wondrousItems.htm#phylacteryofFaithfulness) seems right up your alley, unless you already automatically know if something would offend the code, in which case it's worthless. It only costs 1k, and most of the other stuff you want aside from your weapon(s) is dirt cheap. Remember to keep a little bit of gold left over for midgame shopping, donations, and bribes.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and if it isn't too expensive, a Locked Gauntlet so you don't drop your weapon (like when you're Frightened) or have it disarmed.

Wand of Lesser Vigor (if you have a cleric or druid in your party). Otherwise a Wand of Cure Light (if you have a ranger or paladin or bard). You might be able to swing your sword all day long, but your HP won't last if you try.

Why start off with a magic item that you cannot use? Belt of Healing instead. Same price.

Look at the note at the bottom of the table: "You must be a spellcaster to craft any of these items." (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/skills/craft.htm)

I'll agree that you should definitely get a Healing Belt from MIC, if you can even start with magic items. An Amber Amulet of Vermin in MIC is also highly recommended.

Just because he can't use it doesn't mean he won't benefit from it. Also, its better than forcing someone else to spend their hard earned wealth to keep your HP topped off.

Lesser Vigor will give him more net benefit over the course of most games than a Healing Belt will. At his level, LV will more than heal enough HP to allow him to start every encounter at full HP. He'd have to use his Healing Belt for what, 16 days and change at 3/day to equal out. Plus, LV has more benefit if you have to fight more than 3 encounters per day, and also lasts longer than 16 days worth of encounters if you fight fewer than 3 encounters per day.

By the time you finish 16+ days worth of encounters, you'll be level 8-10, and can afford to buy another simple Wand of Lesser Vigor that'll last you another 3-5 levels.
