Welcome to Malfeas! It is a bit of a mess here, but it should get better with time. Anyway, the weather for today is silent with a slight chance of an Isidoros, and please re-post your sheets here for the ease of use and pick a speech colour if you wish.

Irrelevant starup stuff:

Also: pick a scene in which you want to start from the three following (or say that you want a custom one, describe it and shorten my life a bit)

1)Silver and Gold Spans the Infernal Heaven: A wedding of a Solar and a Lunar is taking place soon, and while it will look cheap and pitiable compared to the wonderful feasts of Creation, it will be something more than them: not only a celebration of an union between the Chosen, but also a proof that life endures, even under the Green Sun.

2)Orbs and Collars: A Twilight named Arianna, but most often called Excessively Huge Bitch (usually out of her hearing range, but then again not always) sent invitations to a number of craters from Oasis to showcase them her newest invention which she had mysteriously called "groundbreaking". On the one hand, she is commonly hated, but then again, she is a Twilight - so it might be interesting.

3)Of Kites and Flutes: A group from the Oasis was sent with a diplomatic mission out into the Demon City: to find the demon Amalion and make her grant the permission to raise the first manses in the layers of Creation-born, but so far managed only to get progressively more and more lost in the winding, noisy streets of the Demon City, in spite of the fact that it even bothered to hire a demon guide to lead them to Amalion's place.

Important stuff:
Game concept reposted:

It is not a metaphor or a figure of speech, it is a statement of undeniable fact. Where once was the land created by Primordials at the dawn of time, now only waves of Wyld continue to gnaw at few small islands of existence left after the cataclysm.

End came suddenly and without warning. Who caused it? We can't tell. What caused it? We can't tell. All we know is that one night, stars stopped shining.

And then all hell broke loose. It seemed as though reality itself died somehow, all laws of it suddenly abolished. Tides of Wyld started to furiously bit into Creation's borders, undoing them within days.

And then, a plague was unleashed, worse than anything we have ever seen, even than the Great Contagion, for it did more than to kill - it turned our dead into monsters craving only mortal flesh.

We faced annihilation. Even Yu-Shan was not safe: it started to crumble along with Creation it was supposed to govern. As the essence flows were disrupted below, either by Wyld annihilated swathes of land of deathly essence tainted what still existed, the Games of Divinity guttered - and then, there Jade Pleasure Dome cracked and crumbled. Only then did the Incarna turn themselves from Games... but it was already too late for Creation to be saved.

So we did the only thing possible: an escape.

It was Incarna who descended to the slopes of Mount Meru, where last survivors of Creation's fall gathered, and it was them who, with the help of all the Exalts gathered there opened a way for us.

On that day, fifty thousands of humans, dragon-kings, jade-born and everyone else who was not a foe and managed to make his way to the gathering point in time entered the sands of Cecelyne, to begin the greatest and grimiest exodus in the history, with their home dying behind them.

But it was also the fist time entire Celestial Host gathered in centuries: and they were a force to be reckoned with - and their coming into Demon City was heralded by the death scream of Octavian, destroyed beyond rebirth by Solar vanguard, his empire made into temporary refuge camp.

Over the span of the next few months, more battles were fought, but more importantly, pacts were struck. Yozis did not want another war - their memories were long, and they remembered how did it go last time well enough. But the refugees could not conquer Demon City either: they were too few and too weak.

So, a reluctant agreement was made, a pact sealed with Incarna bowing before the assembled joutens of all the fallen Titans. Two layers of Malfeas were bestowed to the Creation-born, and laws of Cecelyne were abolished there - though any mortal who left the border of what came to be called Oasis in Hell fell under their jurisdiction as if he was one of the demons. Incarna were to humiliate themselves before Yozis until it ceased to amuse them. But in turn, no harm was to come to the refugees, and all Exalts received a high status in the Descending Hierarchy.

Meanwhile Cecelyne, behind their backs, closed all paths leading into what little remained of Creation.

And here, the story begins.

Houserules:

-Dawn Solution & Scroll of Errata
-This Lunar chargen (wiki.white-wolf.com/exalted/index.php?title=Peter_Schaefer_on_Lunar_Character_ Generation)
-Pay 5bp for Essence 3 (or 8 for non-celestials).
-You gain a free purchase of Ox-Body Technique per dot of stamina.
-In addition, you gain an additional -0 Health Level for each dot of Permanent Essence you possess.
-All Exalts gain 5 free excellencies for their caste or favoured abilities.
-New fields of Craft are opened by buying a 1-dot specialty in them. You gain a free field of Craft when you purchase your first dot of Craft. This specialty does not add to Craft rolls. The available fields are : Fire, Water, Wood, Earth, Air, Magitech, Genesis.
-Intiation into a circle of Sorcery grants one spell of the appropriate level for free.
-No flaws, please.
-Artifact Reinforced Breastplate costs 2 dots, while artifact Articulated Plate and Superheavy Plate cost 3 dots.
-Manses are capped at three dots at chargen.
-All splats use Dragon-blooded version of Artifact background.
-Use this (http://forums.white-wolf.com/cs/forums/t/37429.aspx) instead of the RAW Solar Hero Style.
-Green Sun Child is an Ess 3 Knack.
-Demon Ink Tattoos have a commitment cost equal to their Artifact rating.
-This crafting patch is in effect. (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1cHC-6MZhosoXJZn7vCKFo-FtODsaO95fodUognZpBlc/edit?pli=1)
-Players are allowed to construct dynamic combos of the charms they poses by paying the usual cost without having the purchase the combo with XP first: look at the latest Flare's post to see an example.
- The Arms of Multiple Manipulation's dice pool may not be used along with combat actions and supernatural craft. They can still perform all other tasks, but are too sluggish to be useful in fights and lack the precision and magic mojo to them that is necessary to craft artifacts.
- Demon-Ink Tattoos lose their cap-breaking ability: additional dots from them do not count for dice-caps and caps for artifact creation.
- The automatic successes from new Twilight/Daybreak anima are given to all analysis rolls made with the help of AESS be them Int+Occult, Int+Investigation, Per+Craft...

Alterations to the current set are as follow:
-Fist of the Daystar Style is no more, use vanilla SHS instead.
-With the advent of decreased lethality, characters no longer receive free Ox-Body Technique purchases. Characters keep free -0 levels equal to their Permanent Essence score.
-All charms and artifacts from the books that were not affected by 2.5 Errata is now acceptable on case-by-case basis. This applies ESPECIALLY to Scrolls of Esoteric Wisdom I and III (Wonders of the Lost Age and Oadnoll's Codex).
-As a point of clarification, backgrounds can be purchased with XP, at the cost of 3 points per dot.
-Dynamic combos are no more.

Additions to the rules as of 16/07/12
-Abyssals use The Curse from the Shards of the Exalted Dream instead of the Resonance rules in the Manual of Exalted Powers: Abyssals
-Apart from the usual training times, once per scene a character may attempt to stunt learning a new Charm, developing Ability or anything XP can buy (apart from Essence). Technically, this is a Training effect, but it is only allowed if you have the XP to spare, so it is mostly irrelevant and allows for character grow in situations where there is almost no downtime between scenes.

Malfeas' Decree

In My infinite grace, I, Malfeas, the sole sovereign of all that existed, exists and shall ever exist, and first among My brothers and sisters, thereby declare that My treacherous vassals and their vassals have suffered just punishment and retribution for their blasphemous treachery and other sins too abhorrent to be mentioned.

Thus, as a proof of my boundless magnanimity, seeing the former traitors kneel again to the only power that is Me, I have decided to postpone further acts of retribution and accept them as my vassals again, under the following terms:

1. As an allodium, I cede two layers of My most holy body to Lawgivers sa Unconquered Sun as a fiefdom abolished from Cecelyne, the Endless Desert’s laws, so that they have a dominion to all the better serve Me.

2. Lawgivers sa Unconquered Sun are elevated to the position of My most precious vassals, and Stewards sa Luna are to be their vassals. Dragon-Bloods sa Gaia are to be the vassals and servants of them all.

3. Stewards sa Luna are raised to the status of citizens and My precious vassals.

4. Dragon-Bloods sa Gaia are raised to the status of citizens, as are the traitorous vassals of Mine, the gods.

5. Beings pathetic and below My notice are from now on serfs to those above them, and subject to the laws of Cecelyne, the Endless Desert outside the dominions of Lawgivers sa Unconquered Sun.

6. Oath-breakers and father-slayers known as Celestial Incarnae are the serfs of Mine and My brothers and sisters again and shall be punished for their arrogance and unruliness justly and for all to witness.

Thus decided I, Malfeas, the sole sovereign of all that existed, exists and shall ever exist and My words Are.

Oasis' Map

http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h107/sjunderw/OasisMapA3.png

Info-dump about your situation (or a quick and dirty compiled fact sheet)

1. On population.

a. Population of the Oasis as of the third month from the End of Days and Exodus is (not counting celestial exalts) around sixty thousands living beings. 53429 mortals (around one in hundred being enlightened, including beastman and crafted races), 1058 dragon-blooded (with most of them being dynasts of reasonably high breeding), 253 dragon kings (with anklok and pterok being dominant), 529 jadeborn (mostly warriors and artisans), 2929 elementals (predominantly wood, air and fire ones, including three lesser elemental dragons – one of wood, one of fire, one of water) and 1587 gods (mostly terrestrial deities of middling powers, and a small number of a very potent celestial deities as well).

2. On layers.

a. The two layers bestowed to you by Malfeas were leveled to a flat plains of brass with no architecture left in them at all. They are connected to the rest of the Demon City via 23 gates crafted by Ligier as a gift to you. The upper layers is much smaller than the lower one.

b. Main settlements are: the trade and crafting centre around the biggest gate, the Slagheap (the theoretical capital of your layers, placed in the upper layer, close to the places where the laws imposed on you spontaneously erupt from the ground scribed on a giant brass-and-basalt pillars) and the farming are around the Lake of Our Benefactors (artificial body of water surrounding the isle upon which the Elemental Court resides).

3. On nomenclature

a. The official name of your layers is “Barony of the Lesser Ones”, but it is more often called “The Dross” (by demons) and “The Oasis” (by humans).

4. On farming

a. Agriculture is only possible due to the constant supervision and help from assorted elementals and deities.

b. Among the farmers of Oasis, the worship of elementals is spreading very fast, and growing into slightly unsettling forms: for example, fields are watered by ritual mutilation of a water elementals dedicated to this task by the Lesser Elemental of Water. It is considered a greatest and noble sacrifice of them, elementals offering their own lifeblood so that the fields may live.

5. On gods and worship

a. Prayers still produce ambrosia for the gods, but only for those who reside on the upper layer of the Oasis.

b. God worship has waned strongly since the End of the Days, and nowadays, most of the worship is directed at the elementals, due to the fact that they are desperately needed for water and farming.

6. On living conditions

a. Malfeas removed his spiteful miasma from the streets of the Demon City, so that providing a way for them to breath easily is non-issue.

b. Most of the population is still homeless and lives in tight clusters despite the overabundance of living space.

c. Due to the lack of clean water and basic hygiene, living conditions are worsening every day. An outbreak of a plague could be devastating.

d. The food stores are beginning to run really, really low, but thankfully, a first harvest of crops raised in the Demon City should happen relatively quickly.

7. On trade with the demons

a. Most of the trade so far involves selling out curiosities brought from Creation to the wealthy demons, including works of art, wonders and such – so far, the “things of the lessers” are quite fashionable and popular among the Hell’s nobility. The Creation-born mostly buy first-need equipment: drugs, tools, cloths and such.

b. The trade is heavily regulated, yet a lot of a shady business gets done: “things of the lessers” also include human prostitution (with at least of the gates having an official brother frequented by bored demons), prayer (It is supposed to get regulated, but so far many humans sell their prayers for a chance to survive) and slaves (with slave trade being officially forbidden, but still frequent)

8. On the migrants

a. There is a number of serfs and first circle citizens who seek the possibility of settling in the Oasis if only for the fact that the layers are abolished from Cecelyne’s laws. So far, Creation-born rebuked them.

9. On the Yozis

a. Oasis is free from Yozi-fuelled dangers like the Silent Wind, psychedelic rains and such. Still, it is good will only, and chances are that Adjoran is going to ignore it one day.

b. Ebon Dragon hates you.

10. On breeding and reincarnation

a. An auxiliary Lethe has been set up by Jupiter during the first days of settlement, and there are – so far – enough hun souls so that breeding is possible without any supernatural problems. However, the Fountain of Souls no longer exists, so the number of hun souls that reincarnate is currently capped at around 250 thousands.

11. On the language

a. Most of the population does not know Old Realm, and Low Realm and Riverspeak are most common languages spoken in Oasis.

Laws of the Brass Pilliars

Vassals of the Demon Emperor, citizens of the Dross are to follow the commandments below, set by those who care for their well-being and adaptation to their new home. Due to their unique state of being free from the laws and jurisdiction of Cecelyne, breaking those laws is going to enact retribution from the city entire, not only her priesthood.

1) No souls of the Third Circle are to be summoned, and all existing bindings placed on them are to be immediately removed.

2) No manse may be raised on a demesne that bears a Titan’s aspect.

3) Any manse construction is to be reported to Amalion before the construction can start, and no demesnes of great power are to be capped.

4) Warlocks are to be allowed into the Dross at their leisure.

5) Every Calibration, a Celestial Chosen is to be chosen as a servant (or a plaything, if such is the desire) for the Warlocks most in Titan’s favor at that time.

6) Every child born of serfs that is to bear a name in spite of its status is to be brought to Ministry of Despair to be given a fitting title.

7) No soul of the Titains, citizen or serf may stay in service of the Barony's Citizens unless authorized by the Ministry of Slavery and adorned with an appropriate brand.

8) No soul of the Titans, citizen or serf may dwell in the Barony of the Lesser Ones unless authorized by the Ministry of Slavery and adorned with an appropriate brand.

Further regulations shall be made known when they are necessary.

Punch is a craft/medicine/occult leaning Zenith caste. Think the gentle-as-a-lamb blacksmith that people listen to because he never says much.

I'm rather certain he's going to start at the wedding.
and I'm also damned glad I didn't make a conviction based character this time. ;)

Speed Colour... Hummm.... I want something simple. So DarkRed for me please.

EDIT (2.5) Ignore the stats below they are pre 2.5, here is the updated sheet (https://docs.google.com/document/d/175aM_BBxTBm1esr38TKB0HbfINVJd06wFqFEMkzhwU0/edit) in a far easier to read form.

And now some fluff!
"Adamu Chikyuu" Aka "Punch"

Adamu Chikyuu was born some 38 years ago in a kingdom that has long since ceased to exist in the Hundred Kingdoms area. It was not destroyed by the End of Days, it was destroyed by the simple actions of simple rulers seeking ever more power. At the age of 15, a crisis arose in the fortunes of his family the death of his father Kyu. This left Adamu, his older brother Rei who had both been apprenticed to his father as well as their two younger sisters San and Shi as well as a large amount of debt owed by his forge to The Guild, and now by Rei, their mother having passed away many years before. After much debate, it was determined that there was no choice; they could not pay off the debts, Rei was needed to provide for the family, and there was no respectable work for San Shi or Adamu could do to earn the money needed. The only options were to be sold into slavery or at least indentured servitude. Speaking with The Guild representatives, they had little interest in San or Shi except as slaves, for they were young and thus had little skills. Adamu had experience with the forge and indeed was better than his brother at many delicate tasks... and they were willing to take him as a mere indentured servant rather than a slave.

Thus he signed away the next 20 years of his life to the service of whomever owned his contract. It started easily enough, working away at a guild owned facilities in Great forks and then Nexus where he learned to keep his head down, his thoughts to himself and that any sign of temper should be quenched faster than steel. After five years steadily working for the good of one guild prince after another, his contract was finally sold to House Cynis to pay off a lost bet on whom of the many people in her court the Empress would next favor.

Every day, Adamu was grateful for the stipulations in his contract that limited what duties he could be assigned, unlike the slaves he would frequently be bunked with. That didn't stop the minor members of the house from finding ways to make his life as difficult as possible. From spending the day being whipped while he worked for failing to properly greet one that walked into his room while he was asleep, to periodic attempts to drug his food and water, he simply endured, and made whatever requests they made of him. From cooking the perfect crepe to crafting a pear of anguish in jade, his tasks were without end.

And then the Empress disappeared. Things got worse for a servant of the house. Weapons subtle and overt were demanded, able to kill siblings, and able to kill threats outside the family. The youngest that were poorly checked before in the abuses of himself and the slaves were put in charge of running households as elders marched to the demands of politics and war. The only thoughts that kept him stable, was the thought that his indenture was almost complete, and that once free he could leave.

Finally, the last day was completed. That evening he was summoned to the chamber of one of the young exalts whom had spend the last decade making his life as miserable as she could, for her own amusement. He was told that due to the current "crisis" he was not being released, but instead would be enslaved. She took great delight in preparing a unique brand to claim him as property and describing the horrors she would unleash upon him.

That is when he decided that the action was improper. That is when he rose up, and struck his former master. That is when he Exalted. The fight that followed was not an epic battle of good vs evil. Punch was far too defensive in his actions. The only notable event before he fled the room and the house was the brand that Cynis Mushi intended for Punch instead burned it's mark into her cheek.

That night, as he sat in a cave trying to estimate what his former master would do, and what forces she could command, the stars went out, a distant glow appeared on the horizon and yet another new chapter of his life started before he could even come to grips with the current one.

Upon reaching Hell, he used his workshop organizational skills to simply try to keep as many people as busy as possible. He knew that busy hands and busy minds, no matter what they are busy with, are ones that are not focused on terrible conditions. He realized from the dealings house Cynis had with demons that they would want people, and that once traded to them there was no going back, thus he strove to control access to the gates and to ensure that people were not bargaining foolishly with the demons. Even while he tried to keep people busy, he arranged to work as a free man with demons, hoping his example would inspire people to strive for the greatest good for the greatest number of the survivors.

His biggest concern at the moment, are those that choose to do nothing, or worse choose to do naught but complain. While he considers them to be free individuals who can spend time as they see fit, the continual bemoaning influences others negatively, and that is rapidly reaching unacceptable limits. In the mean time, he continues his work at the Forge, welcoming any and all that are willing to help out, seeing to it that any that are willing to help are fed, clothed and have something productive to do and/or learn, be they mortal, Exalted, God, Demon or Rose. He also continues the operation of his rapidly expanding, and rather unexpected, trading empire as well as his commissions from the demon realms for artifacts, art and manses.

Of course not even the end of the world changes the fact that life goes on, even in terrible situations. He has met his Lunar counterpart, and soon to be mate. Even now the wedding date approaches, invitations have been sent out for a small ceremony in the empty field of brass nearby, decorations made, feasts (or as close to feasts as can be managed in these times) have been arranged and celebrations are ready. Jokes are flying around the Forge, about if he will even say his vows or merely nod, given his typically silent nature, and silent proposal.

My goddess will choose to start at the wedding, attending in an official capacity.

Things were simple before.

In the beginning, so long ago as to be called mythology rather than history, she belonged to the Hunger, the Unending Devouring Green. It was hateful and monstrous, and she hated everything about, hated its every caress, its touch – hated the way it made her feel.

But then things changed, and the Sun and the Moon and the Stars rose and she turned her face towards them. The Hunger and its siblings were banished or killed, and she was left to tend her flowers.

Seasons passed, the world changed. There was Spring when flowers bloomed; and Winter when the flowers withered and died. No one bothered her much in her gardens; no one ever cared about her orchids. It was a simple job, a thankless job, but one she loved.

When the End of Days came, she felt the great dying in her heart, even as the walls of Yu Shan quaked. Gods and Spirits poured into the streets, in panic and confusion. She joined the throng, the sea of chaos, as deities rioted. And then the Sun and the Moon and the Stars rose once again, and she turned her face towards them.

Things were simple before.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Oriasta is in over her head.

With the world gone and the ranks of Heaven decimated, the Celestial Hierarchy is in shambles. Many gods have lost their purview, and many purviews have lost their gods. While it may not be necessary, in this time-after-time, for every role to be filled, some Purviews are too important to let lapse. Drastic measures have to be taken, and everyone must take on new responsibilities.

Oriasta has, for millennia, been a simple Orchid Goddess. She never sought further advancement and her Purview was so small and unimportant, that few other gods have ever sought to usurp her. She was happy caring for her flowers, unmolested.

But who can reject their duty in such dire times?

Oriasta, the Orchid Maiden, has been given an important task in the new Hierarchy – to make certain that this new world and the lives they’ve brought into it, flower and blossom and grow. She’s not certain why, of the remaining nature and wood gods left she was chosen to wield the power of Fertility (she suspects she was the least politically charge candidate), but, having adopted that mantle, she will do everything in her power to live up to her responsibilities.

It was all so much easier with the flowers.

Undying Fury of the Hunt
Full Moon Caste Lunar

Name: Undying Fury of the Hunt
Caste: Full Moon
Spirit Animal: Omen Dog
Anima: A large, deadly-looking humanoid beast
Tell: His face has canine qualities, and his teeth are all sharp canines rather than the usual human mixture

Motivation:
To reclaim Creation from the forces of the dead - or what’s left of it

Background:
Before Creation was lost, Fury was not a Lunar. He was an ordinary mortal, running and trying to survive the forces of death. Although he managed to get to Mount Meru and escape - alone, his friends and family that had came with him weren’t as lucky as him - even when he got to the ‘oasis’, he didn’t feel safe, or adequate for the situation he found himself in. Now the things more powerful than him in Creation - many, many things - were just in these two layers, instead of spread amongst Creation, not being a major threat to him in his little out-of-the-way village in one of the Hundred Kingdoms, not to mention all the demons outside of it.

The danger that last group could prove was something he experienced personally, when wandering outside of Creation’s two layers and being found as an amusing little toy for some kind of demon - he had no idea who or what it was, but from what he learnt later and his experience with it, he decided it must’ve been some First Circle demon, happy to have something weaker than itself to take things out on. However, he managed to survive somehow, evading the demon and heading back into Creation’s layers, in pursuit by the demon. During this pursiut, he earned the Exaltation, and learnt the art of the warform, at the time not as powerful as the one he currently has, and used it to slay the demon hunting him.

Feeling the power and security the warform gave him, along with seeing how it helped him with the demon, Fury kept it active as he headed back into Creation’s layers. Seeing a new casteless Lunar in a warform was quite a surprise for the Lunars of the Silver Pact who found him - they hadn’t realised that the previous Lunar was dead, as he had been out of Creation’s layers himself, seeking information on their new hosts. After convincing him to come out of the warform, they put him through the trials, noting that the big thing he excelled at was the test of Mettle, his warform and charms allowing him immense toughness and resilience to normal injuries, and his Shredders allowing him to kill efficiently. For the other trials, he performed pretty well, but not as well as Mettle. For his trial, the requirement to gain the Heart’s Blood of animals was waived, given his surroundings. After the trial, it was pretty evident his caste would be that of the Full Moon.

An older Lunar, another, more experienced Full Moon caste that had been in Creation as a Lunar, took him under his wing, and started to teach him some more, one of the big things being more refined, both in terms of fighting and socially - one major part being that other Lunar don’t appreciate him coming over in his warform - Fury has mostly ignored this lesson, going around in his warform all the time. He also gave Fury a set of moonsilver armour, which Fury both uses to make his warform even tougher and allow him to somewhat emulate his warform in his human form.

Now he has Exalted as a Lunar, Fury is more satisfied with himself, although he still constantly seeks to better himself, to refine his warform, to be a more deadly and more resilient combatant. One thing that has interested him are the supernatural martial arts - ways of fighting a bit more complex than his current strategy of simply mauling things that oppose him - and his mentor has started to help him as he learns the basic Lunar style, hoping it would go towards his goal of making Fury a little more refined. However, he isn’t fond of his current home. He still thinks of Creation as his real home, and wants to go home, ultimately. And that goal - returning to Creation, defeating those who took it from him - has taken root in his mind, growing in influence in his mind day by day.
Appearance
In his usual form - his warform - Fury is barely distinguishable as human. He is taller than any human, and his body is covered in a thick armoured hide, immense plates of natural armour over which he has more armour, this layer made out of moonsilver, a heavy suit of plate armour, the biggest and most protective around barring certain special suits like power armour, the weight nullified by its nature - indeed, despite all this thick armour and size, Fury seems incredibly quick and graceful, more so than most beings around. He has a long tail, covered in armoured plates, which assists him as he tries more acrobatic actions. His hands are no longer hands, instead long vicious silver talons, glistening with venom - Fury calls these his Silver Shredders, his weapon of choice in combat. Grown on one of his arms is a wide, flexible carapace of bone, which he uses as a large, easy-to-handle shield. His face is covered by a moonsilver helmet, the shape warped into a canine shape, slits revealing slitted red eyes, more accurate and sharp than human eyes, taking in far more than he does as a human. This is assisted by a third gap further back, revealing a third eye.

As a human - a form he barely ever returns to - he is less obtrusive, a man, still quite large, wearing moonsilver plate armour. To those that can see his Tell, his face and head still seems similar to the head in his warform in shape and form - although lacking the third eye. He also doesn’t appear to be armed, except for when he uses his Claws of the Silver Moon, where he appears to grow silver claws, although they are not as long and vicious as that of his warform, and lack venom.

In both forms, he wears a moonsilver amulet that extrudes a layer that provides clothing for him, and also assists in stealth, changing colour to blend in to the surroundings.

Note: These stats are him in his warform, as he spends pretty much all of his time in his warform, only changing off it when he needs to use an animal form or if circumstances require him to be in human form

Panoply

Moonlight Circlet (Artifact ●●)
This thin band of red tinted silver is Rai's crown, a sign of her allegiance and worship of Ululaya. It is designed to hold the Distant Celestial Eye.
Uses the stats of the Dragon Tear Tiara.
+1 perception, or +3 for tasks requiring occult sensitivity.
Attune: 2
Distant Celestial Eye (Artifact ●●●)
This lens is formed of Ululaya's crystallized red light, designed to fit over Rai's third eye chakra, hung from her circlet. With it, Rai can see things from a greater distance as if she were a celestial entity herself.
Uses the stats of Dragonfly's Ranging Eye.
Can displace the sight of one eye up to one mile away, even places out of sight or behind walls. -1 on perception while sight is displaced.
Attune: 5
Garment of Countless Scales (Artifact ●●)
In its natural form, this is a robe made of thousands of scales, each scale taken from a different sea creature. Each of the scales represents a different shape that the garment can take, but no matter how it appears, it retains the steely resilience of its true form.
Uses the stats of transformative armor.
Soak: +6L/+4B, Hardness: 2L/2B, Attune: 4
May change forms as a miscellaneous action. Designing or duplicating a garment (or cleaning and repairing it) is a Wits + Craft roll that costs one mote, though no roll is required if it has held that form before. A failed roll indicates that the garment looks different than desired.
Joyous Burning Tears (Artifact ●●●)
Kimbery wept with joy at the return of her long lost child, staining her with poisonous tears and bestowing a new name and destiny upon her. To this day, Rai Ka bears the marks of Kimbery's tears, winding black patterns of flesh artfully scarred by the Great Mother's acidic waters.
This twisted blessing scoured Rai Ka's form, pushing her closer to the heroic Lintha that Kimbery desires her to be, imbuing her with knowledge and power.
Uses the stats of a three dot demon ink tattoo.
Specialties: Resistance (Poisons) +2, Sail (Open Water) +1
Abilities: Archery +1, Sail +1, Resistance +1,
Attributes: Appearance +1, Dexterity +1, Stamina +1
Attune: 3
Sanguine Crescent Moon (Artifact ●●●●)
Its string woven from Ululaya's scarlet hair, this bow is made of a vitriol scarred combination of black jade and moonsilver woven through with the scales and fins of sea creatures and demons that swim in Kimbery's depth.

As a reflexive action that costs one mote, an attuned wielder may alter the form of the bow as she desires.
The owner also does not need to supply arrows to the bow. They may create an arrow of any of the four basic types made out of red light whenever they fire.
The bow does not confer any particular magical material bonus.

Speed: 6, Accuracy: +3, Damage: +2L/2, Rate: 2, Range: 350, Attune: 6, Tags: 2, B, O
In addition, the bow gains two of the following benefits, which can be redefined whenever its form is altered. The same benefit may be chosen twice, and the effects stack.
+50 range, +1 accuracy or +2 damage.
Mother Sea's Embrace (Manse ●●)
A manse settled within the acidic seas of Kimbery, this smoothly curved cave is initially colored in the neutral tones of sand and shale, giving way to deeper and more vibrant shades of red. It provides food and comfort to its inhabitants, and will further change them over the course of a season, much as a demesne would, provided they do not have the relevant mutations already. The first season spent within the manse inflicts the Large and Water Adaptation mutations, while the second applies the Gills mutations.

In many ways, the manse is a feeling and sentient thing. It is connected to its inhabitants, and reacts to their love and trust. Indeed, if the manse goes too long without an inhabitant that affirms its value and interacts with it in some significant way, it begins to fail. Furthermore, it will attempt to block out those it is unfamiliar with or who have proven hostile to it and its inhabitants in the past. While the waters surrounding it recede before those it accepts, it remains submerged for others, unless they can earn its trust. Even if should an unacceptable person make it to the manse entrance, they will find the doors closed to them.

Seems Tewi'd be best suited for 'Of Kites and Flutes.'

Tewi Issindei
Tewi Issindei
Water Aspect
Anima: Sea-spray and sunlight, split down the centre and splashing to each side.

Motivation: Learn the secrets of the Demon City's environs.

BackstoryY'know, having the world imploding gives you an interesting perspective on things. Afore we got down here, I'd never have thought to examine how I ended up the way I did. I mean, when you've got a good life, you don't question it, right? You just go with the flow until something big and nasty comes along. But looking back now? Heh, I never thought joining the Realm was my best choice even then, but if I'd been born a Dynast, I'd probably have gone down with the rest. Skullstone did interesting things to people, though. Started with being raised by a ghost, really. Which is not to say by any means that Jess was a bad ma, but I think she'd been dead a little long to remember what it was like to be alive. Still wanted it - I figure they all do - but still, 'twas a cold, quiet life marked by occasional trips of the faintly bizarre as she tried to have some sort of vicarious 'experience'. But the things she knew... I don't know how many hundreds or thousands of years ago she lived, but it was obvious why we were given to her. We learned the basics fast, faster than you'd think was possible for kids, and started playing with the old crafts before we were ten. Even now, I can't see soulsteel without a bit o' nostalgia, y'know? S'pose Jess must have had some sort of great work she stayed behind to finish; maybe we were to be her assistants once we got really good.

Well, we started our service to the Prince's fleet at fourteen, working with the real thing instead of toys. Can't say it wasn't impressive. Even the older ships, the ones that just had a few refits or a bit of Essence weaponry, were so far above the mundanes we dealt with that even someone who was just learning to keep his feet could see it. Keeping them running was a treat, although we got treated as know-it-all kids a lot. Not much to say - we were, at least when it came to our work. Imagine we'd have grown into the role in time; the rest of 'em probably did. Me, though, I had a bit of a different fate coming.

See, when I say we dealt with mundanes, I mean pirates. Privateers from the other archipelagos or wherever. Mortals. Not three boatfuls of bloody Lintha. That was a different fight. I don't know what they were doing picking a fight so far north, but if we weren't in one of the better ships, we'd have been sunk in moments. As it was, we got one of those infernal worms down, and blew great holes in two of their ships with the implosion bow, but then the other worm knocked us hard enough to put me overboard, and tried to eat me. I dived to avoid it. That was a mistake. In less fateful circumstances, it would have been a fatal one. Our ship chose about that time to finish sinking, and while the worm just started munching on the crew, the pull from the wreck dragged me straight down. Way down - it wasn't exactly shallow water. And just when I thought I'd make my last breath a right proper one and hope to take my place on the other side, I gulped in water for the deed, and it was suddenly... easy.

I drifted a bit, following the wreck the rest of the way. Now that I wasn't in danger of drowning, I had a bit o' time for thought, and anyway, seeing bottom beat getting eaten by a worm. I knew enough to realize what I'd become, and I also knew there had to be a good reason I'd never seen one of the dragons' brood back home, or even heard them described in repeatable terms. In a way, that breath had given me the exact opposite of the effect I'd hoped for, 'cause I wasn't about to go back and find out what would happen. Luckily for me, we landed in an interesting spot. The thing didn't look like much at first, aside from the near-total lack of things growing on it. A bit silty, but not barnacled. Taking the enchantments into account, I reckon it was down there two, three hundred years. And of course, it was completely nonfunctional. But it wasn't broken entirely. I didn't even realize what it was until a little later, but once I did, I spent hours dragging it to the nearest unoccupied island. Nicked my tools and some salvage from the wreck, found a good hiding spot, and got to work. Took me the better part of a year, but I knew most of what I needed, and I learned the rest as I worked. I only knew a bit of sailing, but once I got that thing airborne, I couldn't have cared less. Best craft I'd ever seen, and it was mine. I've seen better in Oasis, of course, but back then, I felt pretty damned lucky.

And it worked out, too. Took up freelancing, did what work I could get for anyone who could pay for it. Realm tried to bring me in a few times, but I stayed a client. It was too late for me to join that lifestyle. Found the manse that powered the stone, eventually (gotta say, it was a bit embarrassing when we crossed over and my prize hit the dirt, but I solved that problem eventually). Missed home a fair bit, but y'know, once you're out of a shadowland, all the memories start looking a bit pale after a while. Not like here. The Demon City is all colour. Work's dangerous, living alongside demons isn't all fun, and there are Solars everywhere, which makes things damned weird; I've even seen a few Knights. But life's never been more interesting, and even someone like me's got no shortage of work here. I've been exploring further lately; dangerous it may well be, but I can't help it. Like I said, when you've got a good life, you go with the flow, and I'm starting to think the flow here hasn't centred around Oasis since the first rush settled down. Things to see, things to meet, and I've got just the ship to get me there.

AppearanceOf medium height and well-muscled, Tewi has scruffy dark brown hair and a short, barely-groomed beard. His skin carries a slight blue-green tint, but his blood is weak and his aspect markings faint. Small, dark green eyes peer out from a smooth, tanned face; his round nose and thin-lipped grin are none too attractive, but could perhaps be considered charming under the right circumstances. His dress is practical and comfortable, but shows the occasional concession to style - silver thread on the collar of his shirt, a silken sash, or simply a pair of glittering earrings. Poised and graceful, his bearing is confident but lacks elegance, and even in the Demon City, one would be more likely to mistake the itinerant seeker for a street tough than a Dynast.

PersonalityFriendly and optimistic, Tewi became markedly less focused and studious after leaving Skullstone, although he keeps his hand in out of necessity. Now, he lives his life with the natural aplomb of one who has beaten fate too many times for his own good, and enjoys it thoroughly. While he enjoys a good challenge or a bit of a scrap, he's also picked up a much-needed knack for knowing when to cut his losses and leave, and he rarely regrets it for more than a few minutes. The Demon City is an opportunity, to him, a place of wonder, fascination and disgust in turn, if not all at once. The fact that entire sections of it are occasionally crushed and regrown is an... environmental hazard.

Resources ●●● - Tewi amassed a large quantity of wealth from his courier, mercenary, and salvage work, and while a fair bit of it was lost with Creation, he carried enough small and odd valuables with him to satisfy his needs while he found more work.
Manse ●● (Opal of the Hunted) - Acquired from Bostvade in exchange for future services, Tewi attributes his success in his petition to the simple fact that he was one of the first to go looking after the exodus, and thus gained the benefit of novelty. The Once-Soaring Tower does not appear, at first glance, to live up to its name, consisting of three concentric walls of silver near the edge of Oasis, each only slightly higher than the last. The manse's true nature becomes visible once one is inside, however, as a large pit concealed by a series of reflections drops two hundred yards into the ground, where the bulk of the manse lies contained by a second series of quicksilver rings. This buried complex never provides the same visit twice, as the rings slowly flow into different configurations. (Szoreny-aspected; Comfort Zone, Well-Flavoured Aspect, Puzzle Manse)

Artifacts and Equipment
Unbound Joyous Heart, Chariot of the Infinite Heavens (29/60mph, M -2R, A 12L/18B; Light Implosion Bow (Spd 6, Acc 12, Dmg 5L/7B or 12L/15B, Range 500)) - Salvaged from the ocean floor, this skysled has certainly seen better days, but Tewi manages to keep it running regardless. Its initial construction, especially on the underside, has been patched with soulsteel alloys wherever the design would allow, part of his initial repairs fueled by bits of his own wrecked vessel. It thus bears a fairly patchwork look, and its name no longer appears quite suited, but its armour is as strong as it ever was.
Jade Reinforced Breastplate - Simple and functional, this smooth black jade plate is no work of art, but the lack of ornament leaves its lines clean and tight-fitting, giving foes nothing to grasp at for purchase.
Dragonfly's Ranging Eye (Line of sight only, Essence sight) - One of the many bits of salvage Tewi retrieved from drowned First Age wrecks or caches, this lens has aided him well in his occasional dealings with gods and elementals.
Jade Hearthstone Amulet - A bit of shrewd bargaining at the Equitable Bazaar as Tewi improved his skills in other areas netted him this amulet in trade for his old gauntlets. A simple spiral of black jade when unattuned, it winds itself tightly around a set hearthstone, locking it firmly in place until the owner has need of it.
Cache Egg - This simple yet strange artifact has been of infinite value on the occasions Tewi has been called to play at smuggling. Most of the time, however, it sits unused, or simply holds his tools.
First Age toolkit - Tewi possesses a basic set of First Age tools, just enough to keep his equipment in working order.

Hmm... Number two looks interesting. I'm a crafter anyway, and if miss "Excessively Huge Bitch" tries anything, I have countermagic(kinda).

Edit: Oh yeah, I'll take a simple Lime green for speech.

Name: Jania
Exalt Type and Caste: Jadeborn Artisan

Motivation: Make sure her people's craftsmanship survives.

Background:
Jania's early life was almost ridiculously easy, compared to that of most mortals in creation. She was a jadeborn artisan, scion of her race, and luxury after luxury was heaped at her feet without a bit of effort... but that was only the first years. Soon she was thrown into the complex politics of the artisan caste, without a manipulative bone in her body. It wasn't long before she was at the bottom of the heap, with hardly any real power and a job most artisans would(and likely did) kill to avoid: Envoy to the Realm.
While not a bad-sounding title the dragonblooded treated the jabeborn terribly, taking great advantage of the geas upon them to force goods from them. Still, thankless as the job might be, it gave her plenty of free time, and a rather impressive salary(It takes a lot of money to force a jadeborn out of their tunnels). And more importantly, it meant that she was on the surface when things started to fall apart. As far as she knows, she is the only one of the artisans to have made it to Malfeas, and while she didn't think much of Jadeborn culture, she does not plan to let their achievements die so easily...

Bartrand Mar, the Artificer of Relics.

Bartrand claims Blue for his color of speaking.
He can realistically go to any of the three threads, so feel free to start him in any of the them.

Background and other such

So, right place at the right time. Or wrong place at the wrong time, depending on how you look at it. Bartrand was a very boring young man who lived a very boring life. Okay, so his family had to leave Nexus because a weapon his father built exploded and blew some Dynast's hand off, and so maybe the Dynast swore revenge on everyone named Mar. That wasn't Bartrand's fault, and in fairness, the Dynast probably overloaded the flamepiece with firedust. That's what happens when you're not careful.

Anyway, Bartrand had a boring and largely uneventful childhood. They had to move around a couple times, and maybe change their names once, but what family doesn't have to do those kinds of things? Bartrand learned how to make and use firedust, and learned to shape metal at his father's anvil, just like any average child. There were the occasional mishaps with the firedust, and more than once Bartrand had to explain to his friends why he didn't have eyebrows again this week, but that's normal for children, right?

Regardless, Bartrand left home at about an average age. His father wanted him to stay home and learn the trade like any normal father would. Making weapons and experimenting with highly explosive substances seemed a bit boring to Bartrand at the time, so off he went to make his fortune. His first great scheme was to sell firedust to mining companies. Turned out using firedust to mine isn't such a great idea when there are sulfur and coal deposits around. In fairness, the hill only burned for a little while, and besides, it was a learning experience. The miners weren't too happy, but mistakes happen. In retrospect, it did make it easy to separate the silver out fromm the other stuff down there, so the miners came out ahead in the end.

After the hill incident, Bartrand changed careers again. Something about angry mine owners. He took on a partner, a man by the name of Tavesh. Tavesh fancied he had an idea on how to find a cache of old relics that would make them both rich men. Your average get-rich-quick scavenger lord before you know it scheme. In the end, it wasn't such a good plan, but they didn’t know that at the time, and I’m getting ahead of myself. Tavesh had found an old map to a storehouse that had been blocked up a long time ago by a rockslide. He figured that with Bartrand's help and some of Bartrand's firedust that they could blast it open again.

It sounded like a good plan. The blasting actually went off without a hitch; took them right through the rock wall with no structural damage to the cave. They would probably have been better off not going into that cave. It was apparently a bit too close to the ruins of Denandsor, and had some leftover surprises courtesy of whomever built it. Bartrand happened to be puzzling over an arcane lock when a pair of ancient defense golems came online. Luckily, before the golems managed to lumber close enough to smash him, there was a bright flash and Bartrand figured out the near-nonsensical pattern of glyphs to unlock the ancient door. Right about that time he heard a scream from the room Tavesh was looting, but it was a bit late for him to do anything about it, so he just sealed the door behind himself.

Bartrand hid for a while after that, taking the time to puzzle out some of the things he found in that the stone room he had escaped into. The glowing thingy that decided to show up on his head helped quite a bit in reading the various markings after his torch went out. He waited a couple days for the golems to maybe decide there wasn't anyone around before heading out again. Strangly enough, there wasn't any sign of Tavesh on his way out, but the golems might have cleaned up the corpse. Automatons could be tidy, Bartrand supposed.

After a few days exploring what he could find in the runes, he headed back for civilization. He got a little detoured (okay, a lot detoured, he was in that forest alone for almost a month) on the way back, and let's just say that after a particularly harrowing encounter with a very angry moose, found himself in Malfeas. On the positive side, he was able to bargain with a second circle demon for some work space in exchange for one of the trinkets he had found in the tomb. He got a hold of a demon that taught him the basics of Malfean crafting, and so he spent a week or two messing around with that. Algarel is such a marvelously superior substance to firedust; completely stable in the presence of flame and heat and only ignitable with Vitriol. Oh, sorry, where was I? Oh, yes, Malfeas. Bartrand took to demonic crafting like a fish to water. The lack of money was no longer a problem; he could fashion whatever he needed from thin air, or from the various demons that skittered about.

Bartrand happened to already be in Malfeas when Creation collapsed. Perhaps this was good luck on his part. He had only been there a couple weeks at that point, so he made his way to the layers where the other refugees were staying. It took a bit of doing, but he got his workshop moved as well, not that there was much too to it at that point.

His life was notably less average after that. He spent most of his time after the influx of refugees building things people needed, and what free time he had experimenting with the various wonders of the demon realm. He made a few friends among the other Exalts; the lack of available conventional crafting materials made him a tad of an expert on getting more wonderous items built, so he spent much of his time in consultation with the other so-inclined Exalts.

Appearance:
Bartrand is an average young man from the Scavanger lands. His skin is a tad darker than normal for a native, the remnants of his father’s ancestry in Gem. While he is slightly above average height, he is quite slim of build. He lacks the hulking physique of some of the other Exalted in the Slab; for a Solar Exalt he actually looks quite average and unremarkable, well, at least when he’s not in his lab.

Other stuff!

The Dark Forge
Manse powers: Workshop Manse (Craft: Fire), Provider Manse.
The Dark Forge is a very strange little building. Its passageways are lighted by dim lamps that never quite seem to throw enough light onto the walls to dispel all the shadows. Even the fire in the main forge only serves to throw flickering shadows across the room. The darkness never seems to inhibit craftsmanship, but it also never seems to be bright enough to really see well. That the manse is the result of an Ebon Dragon aspected demesne is no great surprise to anyone that has spent time in the building.

For all its dark motif, its forge and workshop are immaculate, demonbound as it is to Alveua. Fully half the manse is dedicated to the great forging chamber, where tool racks line the walls, and a massive furnace and anvil dominate the center of the room. While it is only a pale reflection of Alveua's Forge of Night, it is still an impressive workshop.

The other, perhaps more immediately important, function of the Dark Forge is its jade-lined gardens. Constructed as the building was before the destruction of Creation, it was intended to function as a self-contained workshop for a creation born, and so was equipped to provide Bartrand with the necessary staples of life; Clean water, clean air, and food. While it produced far more than was simply necessary for him alone, the variety served well in the time before the great collapse. Now, the manse's internal gardens serve to feed a large number of people and a small town has sprung up around the building.

Backstory
Short, short summary.

She grew up in a normal village in the North, for various ways of normal. She was good at throwing things and practiced with sticks to be a swordsman, but a plague struck her village when she was around 20. She survived, and though she could, in theory, take care of herself, there was little she could do to survive by herself in a completely frozen wasteland where everyone relied on co-operation, and, after a few months, collapsed in the middle of her former village, the tips of her fingers and her lips blue, her skin absolutely pale. Then the Lover found her, and she just wanted to live, so she accepted. The Lover kept her far from the perversion at her manor, understanding the new Exalt wouldn't agree with such things. Instead, she placed her in a small Shadowland, and let her study on her own, though there was little there for her to study, she stayed and studied.

Three years in, indeed, she realized exactly what she had agreed to when the plan to feed Creation to the Void started, with the Lover throwing an entire city into the Void. Rose panicked, and rushed to the Lover's Palace during the celebrations. Breaking into the Deathlord's room, she spied a chained Grimore, and stole it, hoping it would do something to slow down the Deathlord's plans, then fled for her life. It did little to protect Creation from the Void, but the Grimore was still in her possession when she fell into the mass Exodus to Malfeas. From there, she has hidden her nature as an Abyssal. She can not hide that she is an Exalt, but the anima of an Abyssal would be terrifying, so she rarely uses it. Combined with the problems of regaining motes while trapped in Malfeas, Rose has done little in the way of proving her superiority, though she is competent- more then that, even, she's a member of the Dusk Caste, and is made for War-, and goes about protecting the people of the two layers from any Infernal or similar who attempts to abuse them.

Next Spoiler tag is the Weapon.

Soulbreaker; Artifact 3 Soulsteel Daiklave. Acts as a usual Soulsteel Daiklave, except it adds +3 to DVs as per a Thunderbolt Shield of Soulsteel. This counts as dice from charms, and only works when being used alone instead of wielded with another weapon.

History and Appearance: The blade of Soulbreaker has several phrases engraved upon it in Old Realm, and someone who reads them can understand them as prayers for the damned and killed. The weapon is perfectly balanced at any point, and can be placed standing on any tip or edge. The sides of the weapon have multiple complex grooves running down them, which cause accumulated blood to slide down the weapon, leaving red streaks afterwards that only come out when the weapon is about to be sheathed, when it all falls off into a puddle. Despite this, it is not as unique looking as some other weapons. When it is swung through the air, there is no sound, however, as even sound is sliced in two at it's passing. It was crafted by the Lover in the First Age, out of the permanents of several Soul Breaker Orbs- thus giving it it's name-, though it was lost in the Usurpation, the Lover regained it once she reclaimed territory in Creation, and gave it to Rose.

“Behold! Behold Isrukam Khalim, son of Morghan who was born of Jishol and he of Zerai before him, last remaining noble of Harborhead and Chosen of the Once-Sun. The Bringer of the Green Dawn. His inner radiance now shines brilliantly without in word and deed, and with him we are safe.
From our homes in the South we fled, as the world began to crumble around us, blind with terror and panic. Isrukam, the Noble's son, only known survivor of our most ancient of lineages, called us back from the brink of madness, of despair, and bade us to follow him. We did. We followed, as the earth trembled and the sky seemed to be falling, the fixtures of Heaven no longer able to bear the weight aloft.
It was while we blindly stumbled from our hometown that we came across an opposing tribe, one with whom we had fought for many bitter years, wandering the desert lost and wailing in despair. What little weaponry we had brought was drawn and readied with intent to end the foes we had struggled against for so long. Behold Isrukam that stepped forward towards those adrift on the ocean of their grief, and spoke of such simple things as hope and dreams, simple things which these people had forgotten. Isrukam was still but a man yet, though it was then that we saw the light inside him begin to shine without. He gathered the others as a shepherd gathers those that stray from his flock and brought them to us with a smile. He turned and continued to walk. We followed.
Many more joined us as we travelled. Some of their own accord were drawn to safety within our number, others drawn in by Isrukam’s words. All joined the exodus without incident or complaint; people united by their will for survival and held together by Isrukam.
Time that felt like weeks marched by. It became clear we were claimed by the South’s desolation, no destination in sight or mind. The Sun and the Moon fell from the sky; the stars streak down towards the earth like tears. The ground shook, space receded in all directions leaving only emptiness. Futility persuaded us to give in to our fate. We stopped and stood and watched as all Creation began to unravel, happy to spend the last moments with loved ones or remembering cherished memories of times past.
Isrukam stood yet, eyes fixed firmly on the horizon. He let out a cry, and raised his hand to point at something he had seen. His span around to face us, flush with excitement, then turned and strode towards an infinite worldscape of barren sand dunes. We followed, as was our place by now.
Time passed again, as time does, though how much longer we travelled for none of us can say.
B ehold the wonder! Behold Isrukam, with his arms raised as if in greeting to the first sunrise we had seen since our world failed, every it as beautiful as that we had known but a brilliant yet baleful shade of green. He ran towards it and of course we followed, though what we found brought us as much despair as hope.”

I think I'm pretty well suited for scene 3, "Of Kites and Flutes", please.

Clearly Artificer will be starting in scene number 2.

Sheet:
Name:Artificer of Ten Thousand Blasphemies
Caste: Daybreak
Anima: A sledgehammer clutched in a skeletal fist strikes sparks from an anvil of bone

Motivation: Craft a wonder to cast the remnants of Creation into the Void.

Backstory
His name in life is irrelevant. At least, he's always thought so. Nobody ever used it. The Dynasts who used his services just referred to him as "artificer". In life, he was an alchemist and talismonger not far from Nexus, who also worked in jade from time to time, in which his work, despite his lack of Exaltation, was remarkable. His wares were exported to Nexus, and less-frequently Lookshy, and this was the primary source of his income, far outstripping that received from the inhabitants of his small village.
However, the Guild did not appreciate the competition, and the artificer found his life slipping from him on the floor of his smithy after their disapproval was noted in the form of blades. As vision became blurred, a voice spoke to him in his soul, offering him a place to work his craft free of oppression, without being beholden to a landlord, or having to scrounge for resources. He rose even before the thugs had escaped and left his smithy drenched in their blood before setting out, guided towards a nearby shadowland by the voice of his new employer. There, he met one of the Lover's deathknights. The deathknight revealed that her liege and his had come to a tentative agreement, and it was her job to guide him to his new life.
For some years, the Artificer of Ten Thousand Blasphemies toiled in the service of his liege, the Deathlord known as The First and Forsaken Lion, producing soulsteel artifacts and concoctions far removed in quality and power from the mere trinkets and potions he had peddled in life. In his service, he even found interest in the sorcerous libraries of his liege, and began to study necromancy in his downtime.
He left the Thousand with the permission of his liege after discovering information on a First Age phenomenon known as builder bugs. While constructing things was generally against the philosophy of the Neverborn, it was a necessity of war to build things as a means to the ultimate end. Moreover, he believed he could learn to duplicate the builder bugs using necrotech, if only he were able to learn more about them, and that these could act as assistants for the necrosurgeons. To say that the Lion was intrigued by the possibility of necrotech creations that could maintain and even assemble other necrotech creations, thereby drastically-reducing the manpower required, would be to dramatically understate things.
The Artificer was following a lead at the moment when the Wyld overran Creation. Cut off from all safe routes back to the Thousand, he found himself allying with the Celestial Host as they prepared for their exodus. This suited him well enough, since the Host had their own requirements for artifice.

Appearance:
He stands as a six-foot tall slab of gaunt muscle. A few remnants of short-cropped black hair are all but concealed by a black skullcap, but little of this hair remains. Piercing eyes stare out from under his fringe. His skin, most noticeably his face, is tight and gaunt, making him look one step removed from a corpse, and his lips are pulled into a perpetual sneer regardless of his actual mood. He wears his soulsteel articulated plate armour everywhere; He sees no reason to ever remove it.

Notable artifacts:
Oblivion Case is a fairly standard set of soulsteel articulated plate; It has skull-shaped kneeguards, pauldrons and the breastplate is a stylised skull, but has no special properties.
Armoursmith's Despair is a custom-made Reaper Daiklave of adamant, to which Artificer of Ten Thousand Blasphemies attains full attunement through use of a soulsteel Fivefold Harmonic Adapter. A skull handguard covers the wielder's knuckles, and the blade has a very fine point and serrated blade, rather than the curved and hooked blade of most Reaper Daiklaves, but otherwise looks much the same as any other adamant Reaper Daiklave. Its special properties allow the weapon to cause piercing damage without full attunement, its exceptional sharpness increases its damage to +6L, and it requires 8 motes attunement, rather than the 5 motes of normal Reaper Daiklaves; its other traits match those of a normal Reaper Daiklave. (as seen on Exalted 2nd Ed. core, p.385) Its magical material bonus inflicts a 4-point penalty on a target's lethal soak after the piercing effect is calculated.

Other notes:

Artificer of Ten Thousand Blasphemies has foregone the normally-free dot of Appearance; his Appearance rating of zero is fully-intentional.

edit: How the hell did I miss that? Added the Second Medicine and Integrity Excellencies, which should've been there for god-knows how-long. Also decided on the fourth free specialty dot; Melee - Flurrying

My retired character, Vana

Lady of the Smoldering Mantra - Cynis Belar Vana
Speech Color: #dd2288

Backstory
Vana has never done things the way they were meant to be done. As a dynast in house Cynis, she was never exemplary- but never rebellious. Instead, she was merely apathetic, uncaring of the world and role others attempted to mold her to. What she learned, she twisted to her own designs, and used on her own terms and for her own mere entertainment. The crowning insult was when it became apparent that the sole research she conducted that her family approved of- that of thaumaturgy and sorcery- was only something she intended to mimic.

Eventually, any expectation that she would exalt or prove to be a successful member of the house passed, and Vana (somehow) ended up being an entertainer, using her clever tricks and skills to amuse guests of the noble house, and to quietly gather information from them when she was quite forcefully commanded to.

Then... Creation began to crumble.

Compelled to survive, urged by desperation and need, Vana turned to the knowledge she had twisted, her mockery of sorcery, and once more attempted to wrench it to her will. When it came, it came like lightning, and with it, the ability to truly grasp and use it. As the Wyld tore apart her home, Exaltation fell upon her, and the fake magic she had used to entertain for so long became real, solidifying with her will. Smoke gathered her up, and carried her to Mount Meru, where she followed those others who remained into exile.

In Malfeas and at the dying of Creation, as others despair, Vana has quietly found purpose and dedication. As others recoil from the hideous nature of the demon city, she finds it fascinating, delving into it and her so swiftly gained sorcery with a fervor she has never displayed before.
Character
It might be said that the well of heroes was running dry when Vana exalted. Perhaps they are right- with the dying of creation, and many of its exalted and mortals, there cannot have been many vessels to choose from. Certainly, Vana seems an unlikely choice. She has no great valor, no especial morals or code. Her goal is her own advancement and pleasure, and her skills come only from an instinct of self survival and a certain childish amusement in trickery.

Yet, with her skill of smoke of mirrors bolstered with the true power of the exalted, Vana has become formidable. What she played at has become truth, and her amusement has hardened into fascination and an intense drive to further her powers. While her heroic nature may still be under question, her status as a powerful and resourceful woman is solid.

A clever trickster and compelling speaker, Vana has a love for the dramatic, while understanding that some parts of the show need to go completely hidden. She is a master of the stage, drawing attention to the irrelevant while secretly working all of import behind the scenes- at least until it is too late.

Tall, dark haired, and beautiful, the Lady of the Smoldering Mantra favors bold and eye catching styles of clothing that work well with her stage presence- at least, until she has to make an exit, at which point she may as well be nothing more than a flickering gray shadow. She has not the stamina or lean hard frame of a warrior, but does possess the curved, nimble form of an acrobat and entertainer.

Artifact ●●●●

Cult ●●●, Influence ●●
[i]Even in her short time after Exalting, Vana has made a significant impact, only aided by the flight into Malfeas. Her words and powers have helped the people to cope with their new reality, to give them hope or at least to distract them from the ills that have befallen. Perhaps others have accomplished more, but Vana's actions have won over the favor and attention of many.
With her more recent work in Malfeas, her cult continues to grow further as it is sown among the demons and citizens therein.

Ally ●●●
Vana has been marked as a favored guest of Amalion, and will be allowed shelter in her manse bodies. Of course, Amalion will be watching her carefully, and her loyalty is not absolute.

Cloth of Blades (●●)
At first glance, this is a simple span of red cloth that might serve as a handkerchief. However, concealed within its delicate folds are strips of orichalcum, which can be folded out to change it into a simple fan, or a strange but deadly weapon.

Given the description, as well as the scene title, I made the assumption that this is, in fact, Zsofika- if it is, with Occult 5, Vana should be able to automatically identify her (obscurity 2/2, right?)

If I've made any assumption in error, however, just give me a heads up.

Yeah, it is Zsofika.

Also, just as a note on my post- if you guys have never heard a fan opened like that before, it's really quite something. I was doing research on war fans for an old character, and almost ever time you find someone doing a serious kata or practice with them, you hear them practicing the opening crack. It's astonishingly loud, and makes a very good distraction. Also, it's pretty cool.

Here's a good example! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zfTZBEIzBxA)

Okay, shall post slightly later, technical stuff goes here:

Isrukam: 2 die stunt on the defence, both attacks perfectly parried. Regain your choice of 4m or 1wp.

Vana: 2 die stunt on the attack. Using your current rolls (you may add one die to each of them, due to the fact that you have miscalculated the attack pools) Zsofika parries with:
DV of 12 against the first attack, so even if the stunt scores two 10s, parried.
DV of 11 against the second attack, so four successes successes on the stunt necessary for the attack to hit.
DV of 10 against the third attack, four successes on the stunt necessary again.
DV of 8 against the fourth attack, no chance of hitting.

Tewi: 2 die stunt on the attack. Zsofika parries with:
DV of 13 against the first attack. Four successes on the stunt necessary for the attack to hit.
DV of 12 against the clinch attempt, clinched! Regain your choice of 4m or 1wp.

Is there any reason that you two do not want me to do that?

Eh, I have no problem with that.

Right, due to that brand doing damage as I attack, attack 3 takes a wound penalty and need to be rerolled. Sorry for posting a hell of a lot next to each other...

Attack 3: [roll0] = 11 successes

Heh, even though it had the lowest base dice and a wound penalty, still more successes than the other two attacks, and over double the previous result for attack 3.

The Demon City is a veritable paradise of trinkets and oddities, and with a few intelligent business transactions and a bit of suppressed Compassion, one can make a tidy fortune.

Devi-Atleztli
Devi-Atleztli Duchess of Dancing Water, Marchioness of the Air-Water Rithubhedam and the Foul Air Dissenter
Type/Caste: Dragon King Mosok ridden by goddess of watersputs
Anima: None

Motivation: Protect those of Creation and Yu Shan by whatever means neccessary

Backstory
Shabdkosh Devi, Duchess of Dancing Water, Marchioness of the Air-Water Rithubhedam and the Foul Air DissenterDevi began her divine career as a minor functionary in the Bureau of Seasons, charged with the tracking and notation of Western tornadoes in the late First Age. There was little for her to do, and little room for career growth--what control she had over her associated weather pattern, she found it unseemly to use to extort further prayer, and in those days it would have been risky to show such corruption in Heaven anyway. So she performed her duties, which occasionally took her down into Creation (which to be honest, she found more fun anyway).

Everything changed during the Usurpation. She happened to be visiting a Lunar acquaintance, ostensibly on business, when the Lunar's Manse was attacked by Dragon-blooded usurpers. What appeared at first to be a simple assassination attempt gradually proved to be more wide-spread and systematic, and Devi's control of the weather proved to be useful in breaking sieges. In later years, she was often asked why she hadn't simply Hurried Home to Yu-Shan, where every divine hand was needed to quell the growing chaos. Her answers are varied--perhaps she herself doesn't know.

Regardless, when the battle was eventually, inevitably lost, Devi found herself changed. She was disgusted by the ultimate betrayal of the rulers of Creation, and felt no desire to spend time in Heaven with the self-satisfied, unpunished Sidereal Host. She found excuses to spend her time in Creation, and soon her coworkers and superiors began asking her to do things on behalf of the Bureau (or themselves) in the world. Over the centuries, she gained a reputation as a problem-solver, though one cursed with an unusually-strong sense of justice. She spoke little of the old friend she'd lost in the Usurpation, and her unsuccessful attempts to find the Lunar's later incarnations.

Then came the Contagion, and the seeming death of the world. Devi watched as an enemy she could not touch slaughtered everything but her and her peers, and she felt keenly the loss of the heroes that could have averted such tragedy. All too soon, however, an enemy arrived that she could fight, and so she did, along with other odd gods out that preferred adventuring to life in the Celestial Bureaucracy. As a result, she was fighting the Fair Folk when the weather of Creation snapped, as several storm gods attempted to use Creation's weather to repel the invaders. She saw firsthand the devastation wrought by her irresponsible superiors, and ensured that she was in a position to speak against their actions when they were brought to trial. She grew more disillusioned with her peers even as she gained a small measure of respect for the Dragon-Blooded that saved Creation with far fewer resources and far more ingenuity.

Devi has continued to fight the Fair Folk in the West since their invasion, sometimes physically, sometimes by sending storms at them, and sometimes by working with others. Someone she worked with on several occasions is the independent Sidereal Nazri, informing him of the movements of the Raksha, working with Sidereals against them, and so forth. Whilst she enjoyed working with an exalt again, his seniority and concentration on his careful politics in the Bureau of Destiny prevented their friendship from ever growing beyond that of allies who can also enjoy each other company.

Though many of her peers quietly supported her, her growing willingness to speak out against her superiors acted to retard her promotion in the Bureau of Seasons. Still, with the economic unrest brought about by the loss of so much prayer and so many gods' positions, and some quiet support from Nazri, she was promoted fully to god of waterspouts, and appropriately enough of the change of seasons where Descending Air meets Ascending Water, her actions and words earned her the other title, usually only spoken behind her back. She maintained a measure of her outsider status even as she focused on her work, more than she had for centuries. On occasion she still found excuses to indulge her wanderlust, and on occasion the Bureau of Seasons gave her even more.

A few years ago, Nazir introduced her to a Dragon King, teaming them up on one of her unofficial missions. And while it wasn't quite the same, she found herself thinking of that time long ago, when it was just her and her old friend against impossible odds. It was good to find a partner once again.

Alteztli
Alteztli crawled out of his egg on a small island in the West. And he was alone; there were no other Dragon Kings around, he wasn't even sure how his egg had successfully hatched — had his mother died scant hours or days before he broke out? This was a question he would ask himself, but only after over two decades of hunting as a savage beast. Once his sapience returned, he still hunted; indeed, he hunted harder — caught between the Coral Protectorates and the Raksha of the Nacre Whirlpool, it was only his regular and carefully planned attacks on incoming vessels that stopped his island being investigated or worse, settled. He knew of no other Dragon Kings around him, thus he considered that he *must* survive in order that his species would go on, at which point he had to protect himself, and where he lived. As he aged, he ranged further, he ventured onto passing boats (generally killing all those upon them), and attempted to learn of the world. He learned much, but still heard nothing of others of his kind.

He might have stayed there until the world broke, and the wyld rushed into consume him, had he not chose to attack a particular boat. Altezli was on edge; the Fair folk had been stepping up their attacks (what he didn't know was that one of them had finally decided that the tale of fighting the dragon in its lair would be a grand one, and would raise his standing in the court. The boat had but a single passenger, who seemed to be searching the area. Worried his territory might be found, Alteztli attacked. And was almost effortlessly defeated, for the one he attacked was Nazri, the Sidereal best known as the leader of the Independent 'faction'.

Recognising Altezli as a Mosok, Nazri didn't kill him. Indeed, they discussed things at length. Nazri was investigating the upsurge of activity from the Nacre Whirlpool; what Altezli hadn't realised was that his slowly widening attacks had actually driven people away from the area, allowing the wyld to take a stronger hold. Nazri offered him a deal; if he would work with the Sidereal to weaken the Raksha here, then Nazri would take him to meet others of his kind. Altezli lived up to his side of the deal, both assasinating a few key members of the Fae court, and manipulating the locals into coming to the area more by guiding some of them to the money he'd gathered from his kills.

Leaving the area behind him, he went with Nazri to Yu Shan, where he met others of his kind. And yet… still he was not at home, not satisfied. His kin were too bound into their obsession with personal honour and their passionate way of life. Whilst he had memories of previous lives when such things were more important to him, in truth in all his incarnation he'd been less concerned by such things than most of his kind. That, and decades of survival focus had left their mark. He was particularly irritated by the other Yu Shan Dragon Kings' lack of serious attempts to rescue and raise to sentience their Creation living kin.

Nazri convinced him to continue working for him; by protecting the survival of Creation, he would be protecting his species, and by building up the network of favours and influence he could gain in the Bureau of Destiny, he could start to act to help Dragon Kings in Creation. Over time he became a valued agent of Nazri, to the point where the Sidereal gifted him with an upgraded Obsidian Sheath and an Infinite Resplendence Amulet to aid in his work. Not long after that, Nazri introduced him to a Western Goddess he'd worked with on several occasions before, teaming the pair up to deal with a particularly subtle group of Raksha that had infiltrated several Western communities. He liked this goddess, she had a similar passion for protecting Creation, and similar lack of time for unnecessary politicking

Gestalt

After working together on a few expeditions, Devi and Alteztli came to a point where they trusted each other enough to join via the Ride Charm. They continued to work together in this manner (causing no end of gossip amongst the gods that knew her), until the end of Creation came.

Since then, they have been guarding the Island of the Elementals, but their wanderlust has been growing, and soon they will choose to involve themselves in events more directly.

Unspoken Word Made Flesh
Solar, Zenith
The Daystar’s All-Seeing Eye of Judgment/b]

[b]To Reclaim and Rebuild Creation Anew

Prior to his second breath, Unspoken Word Made Flesh was a young priest of a southern tribe of tanned skinned, light haired nomads. When the tribe’s children were set upon by a demon, the young priest was able to lure the demon to its doom by capturing its attention with a song played on a simple flute. At that point, he was awarded with a Zenith exaltation. At the time of his Exaltation, he was told by the Unconquered Sun himself (or so he thought) to unite the peoples of his land against any evil that may stand. He took the words to heart, took on his current sobriquet, and built a great nation of his people. Unfortunately, it was not enough to stave off the darkness. Unspoken Word Made Flesh took the defeat particularly hard, and had suffered spiritual injuries that were much more grave than any blade could have inflicted.. After doing his best to help settle the survivors in an immediate sense, he and a group of his most trusted followers departed into the endless desert without explanation. Many presumed that he had left to lick his wounds and expected a swift return to Oasis, but 40 days and 40 nights have passed since his disappearance, This, of coarse, has lead to many rumors regarding his fate.

Indeed, that is right; even if for the sake of not making Tewi go back there again to reclaim it after the insanity is done.

Gargulec
2012-03-12, 05:26 PM
Also, critical piece of info: is the Skysled on the cloud skiff or somewhere else?

Sallera
2012-03-12, 05:34 PM
It should be on the cloud; Tewi just left it floating there by Vana (with the ignition on, as it were) when he went to stop Fury, and the cloud's faster, so he's letting Vana drag it forward if he can.

AmberVael
2012-03-12, 05:45 PM
Given that it does fit within the cloud trapeze's weight limit, Vana would attempt to pick it up.

I have no idea how you load things in or off a cloud though, so I'm mainly assuming everyone is suspended via spooky telekinetic force.

In any case, given that Clinch is a 6 speed action, and Adorjan is 4 ticks away, Adorjan is so very close and Vana isn't sure she can get away in time anyway, she isn't going to wait for vainly saving our favorite combat beast lunar. She's going to shout at Ophelia, but if Ophelia tries anyway, Vana is going to get out of there.

Speaking of which, extreme stress calls for limit time.

Guancyto
2012-03-12, 05:47 PM
Oh oh.

May need a slight retcon to events, then? Or do I manage it all in the same tick?

AmberVael
2012-03-12, 06:01 PM
Well, technically by how it all works, Ophelia can pick him up, throw Fury around, and get to the cloud before Vana can say anything, and also before Adorjan comes.

I can't see Vana just twiddling her thumbs while it all happens though... but then, retconning about half a dozen posts is also not so fun.

I'm not really sure which I'd rather do.

Guancyto
2012-03-12, 06:04 PM
Mm, I'm not sure either.

I'm okay with being left to Adorjan's mercy if it suits the timeline better and is generally more in-character. Even though I'll probably die (or wish I had), but doing horrible things to your own characters is half the fun, right?

AmberVael
2012-03-12, 06:10 PM
In the interests of keeping characters in the game, and not retconning, I'll just let it slide.

Fury may wish he had been left for Adorjan later though.

Attention duelists! My hair is enormous!

Also. Due to 2.5 popping out, I am going to allow each and every of you to rework your sheets to accommodate for the changes - and also fix any issues you may have had with your current character's mechanical sides. So yes, you may rewrite your crunch ground up as long as it will still fit your fluff.

However, I am going to wait a bit with introducing 2.5 - a moment, though, not long. I want everyone to enter the land of the revised system with a reworked character, for one.

Guancyto
2012-03-15, 12:07 PM
Ah, neat. Already done, although I may go over it later and tweak it more. :O

I've been told that Fist of the Daystar Style is being shot in the head, which is to say, no longer allowed in this game. Which is okay by me because the thing it was designed to be on par with (Solar Melee with a grand killstick) got shot in the head by 2.5e.

And even with only two Charms put into it, it got a bit silly.

Any chance of getting the preqs for Harmonious Academic Methodology taken down to one Lore Excellency, though?

Sallera
2012-03-15, 01:07 PM
Well, it seems the errata doesn't affect Tewi at all, but I might take the opportunity to tweak a couple things, given certain erroneous assumptions I made upon creation.

Okay, I have another PSA to make.

My good ol' lappy has given up the ghost, and a small shroud of smoke rose from its roasted mainboard to guide the passage of its noble soul to electronic heaven. This means that I am deprived of my main machine, and I will I do retain access to internet and most of the data stored on the old laptop (thanked be the God for making me make a backup), it is far more limited than before, which means that until I get a new one - which may take some time - I may have problems maintaining my daily post routine. Thus, I ask you to bear with me despite the posting rate facing a prospect of lowering.

Also, I am not going to frequent AIM as often as I used to, but I should be still easy to find on WW's Exalted Forum IRC channel.

Not much has changed for 2.5... I'll be marking the changes with strikethrough and underline. Consider this a draft; I'm pretty sure everything is covered, but it's 2am and I'm losing the will to live.Scratch that, a LOT has changed.

EDIT: Had some feedback from IRC. (mostly Zoronos) I'm removing all of the strikethrough and underline. I'll be marking freebie purchases with black text, bp purchases with dark blue text and xp purchases with dark red text.

He wears his soulsteel articulated plate armour everywhere but his lab; He sees no reason to ever remove it when he is not working his craft.

Aegis Inset Amulet: Artifact ●, reduces magical armour attunement cost by 2 motes. (to a minimum of 1.) Wonders of the Lost Age, p.71
Ravenous Swarm Attire, Artifact ●●●●; soulsteel/starmetal composite version of the Infinite Resplendence Amulet. It is a utilitarian item, but despite the relative usefulness it is merely a tool to the Artificer's mind, and so it has no name. The clothing the Artificer typically manifests appears as a shadowy black cloak, while the artifact itself is the clasp of the cloak, in the form of a skull of black soulsteel holding a 'pearl' of starmetal in its jaws. Basic powers provide +1L/1B soak that doesn't count as armour for Charms (but that does not stack with Oblivion Cuirass anyway) and +1 bonus success on all Resistance or Survival rolls to reduce or avoid the effects of poison, disease, or "deleterious environmental conditions". (fatigue checks likely do NOT qualify) Starmetal magical material bonus features an array of pockets, allowing the wearer to store up to one ton of objects Elsewhere, so long as those objects can fit into an opening one foot across. (Lords of Creation, p.118-119) Soulsteel magical material bonus allows the cloak to be transformed into a swarm of any species of voracious ground-born pests the wearer desires, at cost of one point of Willpower. The swarm comes into being centred on the wearer's location with a radius of (creator's Essence) yards, but moves at its creator's move rate in accordance with telepathic directions. On each of it's creator's action's ticks, the swarm acts as an environmental hazard with Trauma 3 and 1L levels of damage. A perfect defence stops each interval of gnawing damage from harming the defender. Sufficiently-large area attacks wipe out the swarm, breaking and preventing re-attunement to the artifact for one day, but lesser attacks fail to diminish the swarm in any meaningful way. (Scroll of Exalts, p.127) Exactly what effect this has on objects stored Elsewhere when the attunement is lost is TBD. Attunement cost is 5 motes for Abyssals or Sidereals, (due to its combined starmetal and soulsteel composition) 10 motes otherwise.

* Includes soulsteel magical material bonus
** Number including discount provided by Aegis Inset Amulet.

Notable artifacts:
Oblivion Cuirass is a fairly standard set of soulsteel articulated plate; It has skull-shaped kneeguards, pauldrons and the breastplate is a stylised skull, but has no special properties.
Although custom-made by the Artificer, its traits match those of a normal Reaper Daiklave. (as seen on Scroll of Errata, p.16) Its magical material bonus allows the weapon to inflict piercing damage.

Other notes:

Artificer of Ten Thousand Blasphemies has foregone the normally-free dot of Appearance; his Appearance rating of zero is fully-intentional.

EDIT: Sweet Jesus, how did I miss that for so long. I had only three Abilities marked favoured. (not counting Caste) Fixed that by favouring Presence and Awareness.

Changes done.

Favoured Integrity over Lore, since the latter wasn't doing anything; changed BP cost accordingly.
Lost two dots from Archery to pay for the above.
Took First Integrity instead of Third Sail.
Swapped smashfists for a hearthstone amulet.
Moved a dot from Sail to Ride.
Purchased Blade-Deflecting Palm, Terrestrial Hero Form, Quarry Revelation Technique, and a dot of Integrity.

And re-approval is probably needed for the skysled's Implosion Bow, unerratad as it is.

Thank you.

New houserule:

Due to the issues with the Arms of Multiple Manipulation, they are going to receive a following fix:

-The Arms of Multiple Manipulation's dice pool may not be used along with combat actions and supernatural craft.

Here's the 2.5 version of Fury:

Hallo everyone! Introducing Seeker...

Name: Seeker of Blood in the Dying Sunlight
Exalt Type and Caste: Dusk Caste Abyssal
Anima: A bloody mist, and the shadows of every mighty foe she has slain.
Motivation: Become respected and feared for her hunting prowess

Backstory
In days long past, Seeker belonged to a small clan of hunters. Small and lithe, they expected little from her, but her very first hunt bought back the head of a claw strider, and a girl filled with pride.

Since then, her achievements-and her arrogance-only grew. Massive yeddim, siaka, strix, all fell before her bolts.

Until one day she aimed too high. She sought out a tyrant lizard, one of the very greatest beasts I all creation.

And she slew it. An arrow in each eye, several more embedded in its depths. But somehow it refused to listen, moving on for long enough to rip deep gashes into Seeker’s flesh, to cut and to tear.

She had her greatest prize, but the young huntress’ story would have ended there, were it not for a wordless question-one of death and destruction, a call to oblivion rewarded with the paradox of life.
She didn’t really stop to consider before she accepted the offer.

But when the world began to fail, she didn’t truly keep her promise. She was a hunter, not a slaughterer. She didn’t want Creation to die. All her stuff was there.

She couldn’t stop it. No-one could. For all their might, the defenders of Creation were fractured, and were forced to flee to the only place safe from the encroach of oblivion-Malfeas.

Seeker fled with them. She moved on from slaying beasts long ago.

Shifting Hide of the Silver Ones Artifact ●●●
Made by Seeker herself shortly before she fled to Malfeas, the Shifting Hide was cut from the body of a dead Lunar, and retains much of the slain champions natural power. First of all, by desiring it, the wearer may cause it to shift into any clothing or set of clothing she can wear-or objects of similar size. (Anything denser or larger than a tent is impossible.) The wearer can also spend one mote to cause the garment to almost instantly clean itself and repair any damage. This transformation is exceptionally rapid, requiring only a miscellaneous action (5, -1 DV). To either duplicate a garment she has seen before or design one of her own, the wearer must make a (Wits + Craft [Wood]) roll, with a failure indicating that the garment looks significantly different from the desired result. This artifact can duplicate any appearance it has ever held without requiring a roll, however. Regardless of its current appearance, the hide protects its wearer-whether by softening blows, blowing into the path of a weapon, or merely toughening their skin. It is treated as armor with 7L/5B soak and 2L/2B hardness.
As a final benefit, the hide guides the steps of the attuned wearer when they attempt to track, and more so when they do so as a hunt. They gain a single bonus die on all tracking attempts.
By committing five motes, and swearing as a dramatic action to hunt down a single target, the attuned wearer increases this bonus die to a success, and gains a bonus success on rolls to attack the chosen target, whether in physical or social combat. Giving up on this oath decommits the motes, but disallows them from using this power for a week. Successfully killing, capturing, or seducing the target immediately grants the wielder their five committed motes back.

Successfully killing, capturing, seducing or otherwise defeating the target immediately grants the wielder their five committed motes back.

Ohai Lix.

Wait. Your character wears the skin of a dead Lunar. Heh, that'll be a good conversation starter if she runs into Fury.

Seeker: That was the best hunt I ever had. The irony was as delicious as the Lunar.

Okay, here is the thing.

There will be a lot happening in my life in the next few weeks, so my posting rate may drop. It has been pretty low lately, but I at least hope that I will manage to keep that "one storyline/day" routine going on. For the delays, I apologize.

PSA:

Okay, here's the deal. I have been updating Oasis almost daily for over a year now, and it has finally gotten to me. Simply put, I fear burning out, because it has become and increasingly big burden for me, lately. Thus, in order to keep the game from devolving, I will be taking a sabbatical from it. Starting from today until - at the very latest - December 20th, I am withdrawing from the game. It is by no mean my attempt to stealthily drop it, I just need to get my batteries loaded up again, as well as deal with a number of RL thingeys bearing on me. You can use this time to finally catch up in other storylines, if you want.

Stay tuned for future updates! As always, I apologize for this delay, but seriously, I need it. For the sake of our game.

I am a bad liar, and a sentimental one at that, which makes for a poor combination.

Sabbatical my arse, I hoped the game would not die on me and then I left my child to rot in the cold, forgotten cracks of the forum. But it is not dead what can have 15 players and twice the subplots running at the same time!

I am not saying I am going to bring Oasis back, but I am strongly considering it. And if there are people of Oasis who still want it to live, let me know here.

It will change, likely, get some retcons and such, but in general, tis a continuation, not a reboot.

Sorry to intrude, as I was not a player in this game - but I did very much enjoy reading it (and yes, it remains in my subscriptions ), I was considering applying if you had an opening, and if you decide to reboot it but find yourself short of players, I would be very interested in joining in.

I dunno that this game has those kind of standards. :smalltongue:

I'd be interested in this game starting up again. I always did like the game. Can't really say the same about my characters though- Vana was too overboard and took too much spotlight, and when attempting to start over I went too far in the other direction. Not sure how I'd like to handle that.

Quick update:

I am more and more inclined to do it, but with a few caveats:

First, I need to deal away with my exams, which will take me around half a month. I am not restarting it in the time of having to learn about god-damned phaleristics. Second, I cannot promise that the restart will go well - such things depend on more factors than I can imagine. Third: Ifni, you have a spot, there are many players who will not be coming back, and it would not be Oasis without more than ten active players.

Sure, that all seems reasonable enough (hell, I have a similar situation exam-wise).

Because of various IRL considerations, I will not be able to post until Monday. Please bear with me, and don't let it die.
