Lord of the Uttercold sets the damage of a spell to half cold, half negative energy.

Flame Strike is a [Fire] spell, but says half of its damage results from divine power and is not fire damage.

So.. what happens when you cast an Uttercold Energy Substitution (Cold) Flame Strike?

Uttercold would change half of the cold damage into divine. So you'd end up with a spell that does 1/4 negative, 1/4 cold, and 1/2 divine.

Alternatively, you could extrapolate from the "two doublings is a tripling" idea and say 1/3 of each. If not, it really depends what order you go; if you say FS is applied first, then it would be 1/4 cold, 1/4 NE, 1/2 divine. On the other hand, if you apply Lord of the Uttercold first, it would be 1/4 cold, 1/2 NE, 1/4 divine.

I personally would go with the "two doublings is a tripling" route and say 1/3 each.

I think 1/4 Cold, 1/4 Fire, 1/4 Negative, 1/4 Divine
