I am looking for alternate class features for the sorcerer but can only find the metamagic specialist. Are there any others that take away your familiar? Those would be ideal.

Yes there are (community.wizards.com/go/thread/view/75882/19872054/Alternative_Class_Features_III).

Step 1, contact a mod to erase your duplicate threads.
Step 2, list your source restrictions.

Step 3: Battle Sorc: UA 56
Poltergeist DR 336
Witch DMG 175
Arcane Reabsorption DR348
Draconic Ray DR 332

Dwarf Sorcerer 9 is very nice. You'll miss out on PRCing out though to pick it up.

I'd maximize the amount of ACFs I'd take by playing a Fireblood Dwarf and pick up a mix of Dragonblood and Dwarf sub levels, myself.

Domain Access may be worth it if someone knows which domain to pick.

Not really. Adding your Constitution modifier to your Charisma score for the purpose of determining bonus spells per day won't account for much. Say you had a 20 in both. You add your Constitution modifier (+5) to your Charisma score (20) and now your Charisma score is 25 (+7). So you get...what? An additional 2nd, 3rd, 6th, and 7th level spell per day, which isn't that great considering how many spells per day sorcerers get already. It's alright, but it's certainly not worth spending 9 levels in a class with no class features when there are full spellcasting PrCs out there.

The Raptorian looks slightly better.
Air Elemental familiar at 1st
3 free spells known at 5th
Fly-Cast-Fly at 11th - similar to spring attack.
And no -2 Con modifier

Might be worth it in a low-op or gestalt campaign though.

Unearthed Arcana is your friend. That said, if you want a tougher sorcerer, you can always go with battle sorcerer. Slightly less spells, but more HP and you can wear light armor like a bard.

I'm a big fan of divine companions / spell shield (both quite good, and i hate familiars)
Also stalwart sorcerer / battle sorcerer are nice for some specialized builds

Metamagic specialist is quite useful, if you like metamagic and move actions that is.

The dragonblooded variant is nice, free draconic heritage feat, letting you pick up draconic breath that much faster. Works well in combination with the dragonblooded races in dragon magic.

Except that works only 3+int/day
Waiting for level 9 (where metamagic starts to play a bigger role) and taking rapid metamagic from CM is a better option imho

Combine that with going into Dragon Heart Mage, and the Draconic Feats are suddenly not as horrible. You can even pick up Draconic Legacy.
