Is there a way to obtain more uses / day of bardic music without taking the Extra Music feat? Some sort of equipment of some sort?

Edit: inb4 "take more levels of bard"

I think there's items that let you count as higher level for various things. Maybe Bardic Music is one of them?

Vest of legends grants increased Bard level for determining effects of music, but explicitly not uses/day.

well there are feats that combine bard and other classes for bardic music. some say per day and some say only the power of the music. sword to song turns smite attempts into bardic music. harmonizing knight (CV paladin variant) has bardic music and smite. the feat devoted performer then stacks paladin and bard levels for smite and bardic music. boom!

There's an obscure item in Dragon Magazine 340 called Harpy's Cap. For 3000gp, you get six feathers, each of which can be expended for a Bardic Music use, but it's pretty hard on the wallet.

Other than Extra Music, you could get Lingering Song. You won't get more music, but it'll last longer.

Doesn't the Eberron Bard ACF allow you to trade something for one of a few feats, among which Extra Music?

Ah, you're right! I hadn't noticed that Extra Music was on that list. Was already using it for Song of the Heart.

Okay, I was wrong. =\
Extra Music is not on that list.

The Artist feat in PGtF gives +3 musics per day.

Where is From Smite to Song from again? It relates to a PbP character that I'm currently playing.

IIRC its from Champions of Valor. it might be from a dragon magazine though. and there is also the ordained champion from complete champions which turns turn undead attempts into smite attempts which from sword to song then turns into bardic music attempts. the bard/paladin/ordained champion is pretty awesome. you end up with way more bardic musics then you'll ever actually use for bardic music. isn't there a feat out there that is the bardic music equivalent to divine meta magic? what is it and where is it from?

Joyous Star Song (5800 GP, Magic of Faerun p. 161). Sing the song on the scroll, and a bard can use his bardic music one additional time per day.

There's a back door method to extra Inspire Courage via Smite optimization (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=185859) which has already been mentioned, but bears elaborating on.

From Smite to Song from Champions of Valor adds Perform to your Paladin class list, and allows you to burn Smite Evil attempts to duplicate the Inspire Courage ability of a Bard, with an effective Bard level equal to your Paladin level. (Although a nice DM might allow it to be "effective Paladin level" since so many other classes/PrC have Smite abilities that duplicate or stack with Smite).

You can then use back door methods of getting extra Smite Evil like the Mighty Smiting weapon enhancement, Binder, Cleric, various prestige classes, and so on.

Thus you can make a Paladin 20 or Cleric 5/PrC X build that can Inspire Courage just as well as a Bard.

If your group uses the UA Action Point system, you can use an Action Point to fuel a class feature, such as bardic music. Specific I know, but a possibility, and its SRD so its usually an easier sell that way.

Ordained Champion doesn't give you Smite Evil, and Smite To Song doesn't give you bardic music uses. So there's no point at which that works.
