People mention things like Lifedrinker Kukris all the time, but lifedrinker is a specific weapon according to the SRD, so how do you get it? If you can just slap it on another weapon, how do you calculate costs? What about adding further effects to it? Sources for these rules?

Thanks.

I would assume that you can make any item a lifedrinker, but looking at life drinkers price, and subtracting the price of a masterwork whatever weapon it originally was, and adding the price of a masterwork whatever you want it to be.

The magic item creation feats dont take into account what youre enchanting, so the price to add the magic would be the same regardless of what type of weapon youre enchanting.

MiC is the source, at the beginning of their specific weapons section (where they say the weapons are "usually" made this way but can be upgraded and so on). MiC also has general rules on upgrading items.

Push comes to shove, add Morphing to the weapon and turn it into whatever you want.
