[3.5] Urban Ranger

Ive looked online for urban ranger and most sites say the ranger gets Hide in Plain sight. But Dragon Mag 310 and Masters of the Wilder dont say anything about it.

How do you get hide in plain sight? or are the websites lying to me

Well... If I remember correctly the variant doesn't effect the ranger's HiPS ability so you should just get it like a normal ranger at level 17.

You're looking in the wrong place; the most recent source of the Urban Ranger is in Unearthed Arcana, and that version can be found here (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/classes/variantCharacterClasses.htm#rangerVariantUrbanRang er). That version gets a better version of the ability than the standard Ranger, though still not the usually-better-yet [Su] sort, at the cost of losing Camouflage.

One other thing I should have asked in this thread is, There is a Fighter varrient that gives +dex or +1/2 mod to bow damage, Anyone know where it is?

Yes, unless the variant says otherwise, the altered ability is at the same level as in the standard Ranger. Of course, not having Camouflage means you'll only be able to Hide where there's cover/concealment, so that's a significant disadvantage.

Dragon 310 (p38-39) has the Targeteer Fighter variant that allows you to trade away a bonus feat for Dex to damage in place of a non-negative Str score (if your Str is 10+ you add Dex to damage rather than Str). Note, this only works on things not immune to crits.

Dragon Compendium has the Deadeye Shot feat that adds 1/2 Dex to crossbow damage.

Ahh so using a composite bow of say +2 STR wouldnt work with the Dex feat? Lamesauce......

Plus the target cant be immune to crits lol. Well weapon crystals can fix that ( if they can be applied to bows/ammo )
