In another thread I started I mentioned I am starting to get back into d&d. Well the miniature market is quite pricey and I happen to like using what craft skills I can muster and recycle certain gaming things.

I took a few of my old Magic the gathering card that happen to be quite crappy in game, but feature art work that works really nice for d&d. I cut them out and hot glued them to pennies and spray painted the backs of them. Here they are :)

For the most part they all fit very nice into the combat grid spaces.

Now if I can just figure out a good way to do chairs and chests and weapon racks lol and so on.

I have two shoeboxes full of cards that are beyond crappy. Thank you for this idea.

A most excellent idea! Now to convince my DM to take the scissors to his collection.

I did something similar at one point, though I used pictures from the web printed on cardstock.

A job at Kinko's is great for such things, isn't it?

I knew that blacklotus card would be usefull for something now I can use it for DnD.

No I don't have one. Honestly I do not even play magic or have any cards from it.
